I hate them, if I have to play the whole reserve a phone at the Apple store it's going to be for VZW after this pre order debacle.

It's not the phone I even care about so much, it's about being treated like complete ***** by a company I pay every month.

I stayed up all night to pre order at 3 AM ET on 9/12, and along with everyone else in this thread, couldn't order a damn thing! I had to call at 6 AM ET, finally off the phone at 6:30 AM. 3 1/2 hours after being up all night just to send me a message a day later saying it's back ordered.

Now their site says Jump customers get priority this weekend, when before they said it was first come first serve.

After being told by their twitter that I could order at 3 AM ET on 9/12 and not being able to - then having to call at 6AM to do it. yeah, if they're going to waste my time for a bunch of ******** I'm going to call and complain and switch if I don't get it on 9/19.

BooHoo its a phone your not the only one who was up at 3am and got their **** backordered. Call complain cancel your service no one cares.
 
I'm with you. It seems though, they are giving jump! customers some priority since we pay $10 extra a month for it...... I just checked my orders again on my tmo. Is this what everyone is getting as far as back ordered goes?

I just got an email back order as well.. It's no big deal however I know I was one of the first people to see the darn thing online and to order.. Just a little ticked.
 
I was just informed by Jane (ID #235197) from T-Mobile customer service, that if you ordered on the 12th you will have your order on the 19th. I asked if this was a guarantee and she stated it was. Now question is do I buy that and my answer is NO!

I would look back over this thread but I value my time. Does T-Mobile still have their $30 plan? I can't find it on their website. Could you use that plan with the new iPhones? Thanks
 
Everyone needs to take a deep breath and relaaaaaaaaaaaax.

For starters, this is a phone we're talking about here people. Your world won't end if you don't get it on the 19th, or if it doesn't ship on the 19th.

Second, I've been with T-Mobile for 10+ years. I've had the opportunity to pre-order phones before. This is what their system does automatically when the phones are not in stock yet. When they arrive and are entered into the system, your shipping date will update.

I'll be the first to admit that this whole iPhone pre-order things was a complete joke. Hell, I got up at 6 AM on Thursday and stayed up until 4 AM on Friday trying to wait to order. Finally gave up, went to bed for 2 hours and then got up and ordered over the phone. So I know the frustration. I'm still tired as hell from trying to give TMO my money.

But we will get our phones. And I'm willing to bet that most of us will get them on time. It isn't like they got 100 iPhones for thousands of orders, folks. They just don't have them in stock yet, hence the automated backordered texts/emails we all got.

According the rep I talked to, it's "Backordered" because they don't have the phones yet and their system automatically classifies the status as backordered until they do. The reps say it will ship on the 19th and I see no reason that won't happen. It's just a phone.

Thats one of my issues though. If it ships on the 19th i'm better off waiting in a line outside a store for an hour if I want day 1. I was told when I ordered it over the phone i'd receive it by the 19th. :(
 
I believe it wasn't till after 4pm PT that JUMP! Customers (like myself) could pre order due to a glitch in the system. JUMP! Customers couldn't order online, over the phone or in stores while non JUMP! Customers could. That's a lot of customers not being able to pre order till about 16 hours after pre orders began.... As far as my status goes, while I finally was able to order my 2 iPhone 6's it showed shipped by 9/19/14. After I submitted the order online it currently shows the phones being processed and shipped on 9/20/14. I ordered the phones around 4:30pm PT yesterday.

I feel you and all Jump customers got a raw deal, but also ALL customers got a raw deal from T-Mobile. I just don't see how their site wasn't ready at 3:01am like everyone else. Hell our Best Buy preordering process went through without a hitch so I don't see what excuse the continents 4th largest phone carrier (sorry, "uncarrier) would have...

Nobody knows for sure. You'll get different answers depending on which rep you talk to. I was told it would ship on the 17th and get to me by the 19th. I took this with a grain of salt because every single time I get a new phone from TMO, it arrives in 1 day with ground shipping (one of the few perks of living near Memphis and ATL).

The good news is that you have options. You will know next week whether or not you'll be receiving your iPhone on Friday, so you can plan accordingly if you have to have it on launch day.
 
This thread is stressing me out lol. So many different answers and comments aye. I just hope we all get our phones on the 19th so we are all happy.
I hope I don't go into labor early from all the iPhone T-Mobile backorder crap lmao.

A lot of y'all are crazy. It's just a darn phone. You will get it when you get it! If you have ever dealt with a pre order in your life you would know that it will always say back ordered because the phones are not in stock. Come Monday/Tuesday your info will be updated once the devices are checked into the system of the shipping business week. It's not the end of the world. People are starving and dying over things they can't control however You're upset over not having a cell phone the day you want it despite whatever was promised. Be happy it's ordered and you don't have to wait in line with the thousands of other people. Then what if you don't get it in line? You're going to complain about them not having enough in stock? Why are you all never satisfied. This is sad!

Your on an APPLE fansite preaching drivel. This site is dedicated to Apple fans, technology, and services. So of course if said fans are upset that they took all the reasonable steps to be in a position to order their phone of choice and have it delivered as soon as possible then that's EXACTLY their prerogative. Nobody has said anything crazy or unreasonable given the CONTEXT of this forum or the subject matter. You want to talk about starving people and the morale involved in selfless thinking then go post on a Red Cross forum.

I am a jump customer and I woke up this morning being placed on backorder after originally having a confirmed 9/19

I actually have to change the name on the billing address of the order as well so whenever they do ship, my card doesn't get declined but tmobile SHOULD be held accountable.

They offer no info besides the bare minimum.

Are there people out there that are NOT backordered?

I'm sorry but this just isn't true. It's backordered - If they don't have the phones, that's by definition backordered and they certainly won't be getting them sent to you on the 19th. I'd expect sometime mid to late October at the earliest.

When I placed my order for both my 6+ she said backordered and I said what do you mean? She said it says backorder in in our system because they aren't in our inventory yet and also because it's a pre order.
I hope what she said is true. Made me worry from the start but ony 9/19 will tell the truth.

You just kind of proved his point. If they don't have the phones, they're backordered. So what happens when they DO have the phones in stock next week sometime? Will they still be backordered?

And where are you getting this mid-to-late October timeframe from? Just a guess?

Nobody has them in inventory. Apple doesnt ship their inventory to carriers until right before launch to prevent leaks and such and carriers obviously cant ship till they get the phones.

Then the other rep I spoke to yesterday said you will get your phones by the 19th.

You're wrong. Look at the Verizon thread - People already have their tracking numbers! Many have already shipped out.

With the 24/7/365 approach to commerce/shipping, you realize that TMO could get their iPhone stock tomorrow, Monday or Tuesday and still get them out on Wednesday, right?

Not saying that it'll happen that way. But implying that because there is no inventory on the 13th, nobody will get their phones on the 19th is rather shortsighted, IMO.
