Yesterday, at 5:56PM, I got an e-mail from T-Mobile with an update on my order, stating that I should be receiving my device on Friday. It said that another notification with a tracking number will be sent as soon as it ships - none yet.

I mentioned before, but just for FYI purposes:
Customer Type: New
Phone: iPhone 6+, 128GB, Space Grey
Order Date: 09/12/2014 at 06:45 AM PDT

Order status page still says "Order Placed" and robot lady still says "Backordered".

Wow does this make me nervous. My order is identical to yours except it was processed ~6:30am PST according to the online status page and I've got 3x 6+, 128GB, Space Grey instead of one. I *STILL* haven't heard squat from Tmobile or seen any status changes. I'm really losing hope here.
 
Same tmobile stopped replying to me cause I called them out on this.

Is that why they aren't writing back after they asked me to DM them?

So they lie and then stop talking, awesome customer service. I guess their CEO can say F this and that but they can lie and BS and just stop talking to you. sounds a lot like every other carrier to me.
 
What did you preorder though that's the question

In a lot of cases, it doesn't even seem like what you ordered mattered. I ordered using JUMP, online, on 9/12. I've seen people that ordered that exact same phone that I've ordered, days after me, that are getting their phone delivered before I am. So, whatever T-Mobile is doing is just asinine.

I should have double priority just for using JUMP and ordering on Friday (jk before anyone jumps on me, just trying to prove a point).
 
there is a lot of really weird preemptively indignant speculation going on here and i continue to be surprised that people will post for 100 pages about how inconsistent and unreliable tmo is and then suddenly believe that other people getting emails before them is proof positive they aren't being individually prioritized like chill people have already said multiple times that they have received items from tmo in the past before even receiving tracking it'll be ok
 
OK GUYS WHAT I HEARD FROM HIGHER UPs
1. Jump orders are defineley prioritized before all others (12-14)
My 2 Higher ups trump your higher up.. 13-14 is prioritized for all 13-14 orders, 12th is order it was received and everyone gets bumped to next day shipping.

2. That even if you have a shipping label it doesnt mean anything because she said the had not ship anything yet?
UPS is notoriously slow to update it's tracking site.. I just got my keyboard, next day, and UPS only just updated with info this morning..

Means nothing

3.That there is enough units for the preorder just not sure when we would receive them.
This adds no value to anything.. why waste the space /time typing? LOL - doh! mine too!

4. They began fufilling orders in order of priority but how we know if this is true if we wakeup and find an iphone coming that day.
Pure speculation on your part.

5. The friday text says as SOON as friday meaning that it whats its expected but its most likely not true. The most true one is the people who received from the 22 to 30th will be receiving it by that time frame
Does not, says "Great News! You should receive your iPhone 6 Plus on Friday. We'll send another text with your tracking number once it ships"

The word Soon is never used. And your 'most likely not true' is just your hyperbole speculation.. again.. durrrr

Just thought I would chime in as well. I preordered 9/12 @ 6:36am EST via phone since website was down. I ordered the 6+ Space Gray 16gb. All I have gotten so far is the text/email that said will update you in 1-2 days. No charge ion account or ups tracking info. Order page still says backordered/preordered on status page depending on what browser I use. My backorder date did change on 9/17 at 3:17:01 am.

This is my situation exactly, ordered around that time as well.

Relax. Apple did not "make the bare minimum". They're cranking them out as fast as humanly possible, because they want people's money as fast as humanly possible. (though the snafu with your order sounds really crappy-- sorry to hear about that :( )

We don't want ok. We want information NOW. You don't understand. A BIGGER iPhone and MORE SPACE!!!!!!!!!! I feel like a little kid waiting for christmas.

I don't think I'll get it at all. Something just doesn't seem right

Have you called them to verify the order went through? I wouldn't worry about it too much. They only just started getting the phones. It's just a matter of when. Since you received an ETA of next week, I doubt they would even touch your order until after launch day. Seems like 64gb 6+ in Space Grey is the Gold of this year.

Exact same story here. Damn that magenta monkey. He never throws the dart anywhere close to me :p
 
T-Mobile's twitter feed just said that if your order is on backorder you will not be receiving it on Launch day.

i don't see that, i see "backordered just means it is not launch day, we are working on fulfilling as many orders as possible *AG" which is just a reiteration of the fact that tmo uses the word "backordered" until all their inventory is accounted for on launch day, "it is not launch day," as in "today is not launch day"
 
Everyone Keep in Mind that T-mobile has only ******** you IF you dont get your phone Friday.

if they dont send you a text or a your status never changes or blah blah.. thats not ***** you.

Its crazy to see people flipping out on Sunday and Monday about a phone coming out on friday.

Im pretty sure Ill get mine. I have gotten shipping yet.

And after ordering 23 phones from tmobile the last 6 years (some being pre order) i know that tmobile order status doesnt mean ****. I have had packages delivered a day early when the status was still processing.

chances are you will get the package before it even updates with tracking number
 
So I got a call and email today stating my order was canceled and they think it was a glitch in their system. I am a new customer coming from Verizon and I feel like an idiot at this point trying so hard to give this company my business. Has this happened to anyone else and what options do I have to try and get a phone before the end of October. The lady on the phone said I would have to make a new order from scratch from credit app and plan and everything and then be at the back of the line. I woke up at 2:30am EDT on the 12th to pre order this phone and waited 4 hours for them to open up the orders. I tweeted John Legere and Tmobile Help and no response. Has anyone else had to go through this and been able to get their order reinstated or a rush put on a phone for them? Any help would be appreciated.
 
I really enjoy the fact that Friday is just getting screwed over.
The tweet didn't make sense to me because I don't think most people are getting their shipping info through T-Mobile, but their phone number through UPS and yet their accounts still show back ordered.
 
Lol I think that's 100% what they are told to say, yet it is 100% untrue! I am a JUMP order from 9/12 yet I see 9/13 getting shipping confirmations and I have no charges...

I know i told her i feel like orders that processed on saturday and sunday SO anything past like noon on friday (those actually processed around saturday) are taking precedence over the ones on friday
