T-Mobile.com preorder thread

I've been lurking through all of these posts since page 10 and thanks to all of you I have been losing sleep for the past 5 nights. Every morning I have been waking up thinking about that stupid phone. Here are my stats followed by a story that is sure to amuse you and maybe even make you feel better:

Pre-order: 6am CT 9/12
Model: 4.7" 64gb Space Grey
Received email / texts from tmobile confirming that my phone would be here today 9/19.
Customer service: 1-4 week run around and no real idea of when the phone would come
UPS: have a label created, shipped out of Kentucky and the departure scan was complete - per UPS delivery by 3pm Monday, 9/22 NOT 9/19 as Tmobile promised.

The story:

I took a half day off work today just in case "my precious" came so that I could play. I rarely get this excited about tech, the last time I can remember this level of enthusiasm was when MW2 came out or even before then when the Wii first came out in 2006.

Around 6pm I see the UPS truck pull up in front of my house. I yell (while holding my 5 month old daughter) UPS is here!!!!!. Gently, I run down the stairs and got handed a package from the delivery guy. I came back into the house, package in hand, cheering. Literally cheering, like a little kid on Christmas. My two boys ran upstairs and my oldest said, "Daddy, is that your phone?" Even they are aware of my utter fixation with this week's events.

It's a parade up the stairs, baby in one arm, package in the other as I call on 1997 and raise the roof. We all gather around the dining room table, huddled over this package like the first cavemen who discovered fire. I start to cut it open and right then my wife says - in what may have been a slow motion sentence - "Is that addressed to you, or me?". I slice the package open as my heart is racing, my greedy little eyes are bugging out of my head in complete ecstasy and I find... Phineas and Perry characters for Disney's XBOX 360 Infinity, an early order my wife placed ONE DAY AGO as she starts gearing up for Christmas shopping.

In that moment I sunk, like the titanic, I didn't see the iceberg coming. Like Anderson Silva, I had no idea my shin was going to break in half, like Simba watching his father fall to his death.

And that, my fellow fanatical iPhone friends, is how I experienced the highest of highs and the lowest of lows.

I will continue to lurk and read your comments. I couldn't keep this story to myself. I felt like a complete fool, it was actually hilarious and the wife and I were laughing pretty hard about it. She saw me transform into the 8 year old who thought he got the NES of his dreams, only to find a shoebox filled with socks.

So apparently my order did not go through as a jump order. It went through as a regular order. They are still surprised that I was charged and nothing was shipped. Oh well!! I'm mad as hell, but it is what it is.

9/12 8:55am PDT, 128GB 6 Plus Space Grey, JUMP.. Got texts / e-mails saying Friday 9/17 and 9/18, charged 9/17, no tracking number to be found, they just say BACK ORDERED...
 
So UPS came when I wasnt home, so I had them hold it at the facility. But I had to work (at T-Mobile) and couldn't even get out to go pick it up. So now I have to wait until Monday. Damn.

Ordered 9/12 around 5:12 am PST. iPhone 6+ 64 GB space grey. New customer but I have JUMP on my account? I requested over night shipping but after a few tweets back and forth they gave me that back in credit. Waited late at work for delivery and didn't get anything. Still no UPS label even after my charge went through yesterday around 7pm, still no updates from T-mobile. I did receive the text about getting it 9/22 - 9/30. Reps say the same estimated time frame when I call. Not sure if they are doing Saturday deliveries but the supervisor on duty at work will be keeping an eye out.

Anyone else get charged and get the text I did but get it delivered? I don't understand if my card was charged why I don't have a label.

This waiting game is killing me, all I want is a set ETA so I stop checking three sites a few times an hour!

Same exact situation as you. I ordered the exact phone about 1 hour before you. Got charged last night and originally got the 9/22 text/email. No word and my status on tmobile.com is the same and no UPS tracking.

Nope. None. Still backordered. No label. Was charged on the 13th early morning for both devices. Used JUMP! online on the 12th after trying all freaking day.

Note to self: Order 2 days later and pretend I'm a new customer from Verizon... that is of course if I'm still with Tmo.

I'm a Texans fan.. 2-14 last year. Lol it's got nothin to do with the hawks! Cuz if it did John Legere woulda personally brought mine to my door step. Hahahaha

P.s. Texans 2-0 so far this yr ;)
 
At this rate I'm just going to assume I'm getting it next week. It would be nice if I got a tracking number so I can reroute the package to where I'll be next week. Learned my lesson from pre ordering from t-mobile and trying to plan around it -_-

I take that back, just literally 15 seconds ago, I got a shipping number by both reference number and UPS my choice. It's just a label created so far (showing delivery tomorrow by noon), so it'll probably be Monday, but OMG!!!
 
There's the first sign of hope... And now everyone goes to check. 2 or 3 will have the same. Everyone else will get more pissed and call CS and Robobitch. It's a vicious cycle! Lmfao
 
Just got info from UPS My Choice, have a tracking # and shows scheduled for delivery 9/20/14 by 12pm. Status is ready for UPS.
Tracking # doesn't bring up anything yet, but that is to be expected just getting into the system.
So definitely am not getting it today, but maybe Saturday and damn well better have it Monday ;)
 
So this is interesting, I received my iPhone 6+ today and I checked my bank account and the charge has dropped off for the phone. Has this happened to anyone else?
