depends on if you can put up with it not being able to handoff correctly.. I have the 5s.. WiFi calling works.. just I've lost a few calls when I left home and forgot I was on a WiFi call.. LOL

They just.. stop.... then you get a call failure error.

Handoff appears possible with a compatible VoLTE device in LTE coverage area.

When I initially ordered I never thought I would receive the phone on the 19th..

But then they post everywhere that JUMP customers are being given priority..

Now my hopes have been given up and I have nothing yet, not even a charge..
Killing me.

I tried to pre-order on the 12th but T-Mobile's website was so hammered that I gave up and decided to pass on the iPhone 6 until the demand slowed down. On the 15th I finally gave in and pre-ordered the 6+ 64gb space gray. My account has been in the "processing" state since then. I spoke to a T-Mobile representative on Friday and she said that my phone would likely ship sometime next week.

After reading this thread I chatted with another T-Mobile representative and asked him if there was an estimated shipping date for my phone. His response is attached. Apparently JUMP orders made before the 16th have priority. T-Mobile's customer support has been generally helpful to me so far. I'm happy to wait a few days as long as I get my phone without any unnecessary drama.

my experience has been absolute hell:
1. tried preordering through tmobile store morning of 12th. order fails because their system was down.
2. tried preordering online. credit card not accepted even when in good standing. had to call in and cancel the "order" because they couldn't reinput a new card.
3. tried preordering on Saturday over the phone. everything seems to go smooth, until my order was unexpectedly canceled on the 19th. they call me to tell me it's canceled. why can't you call me to work it out before canceling!!! I could have told my bank to allow the charges!
4. tried to preorder again through the same call inquiring about the cancellation. Guy completely screws up my order and orders the wrong phone and plan and sends to the wrong address. tells me it's cancelled and reorders a 6 plus.
5. I subsequently speak with a supervisor to make sure it's canceled. he also gives me two months of free service.
6. later the night of the 19th. I get an email that my phone is shipping, FOR THE WRONG PHONE AND WRONG ADDRESS. on top of that my credit card is already charged. I am livid at this point and call cs, who tries to give me the run around with ups, whom can do nothing to help me reroute the package. I then get hung up on twice while being transferred to a supervisor.

total number of credit pulls on me through this process: 5
I have a phone I don't want that's going to the wrong address, for which no one appears capable of helping me with. I can't get past the first level of crap reps to get proper help. and I'm looking at a 6-8 week wait for a phone that should be arriving this coming week in the first place!!!

goodness can someone help me!? I'm so lost with this order right now...

My coverage in my area is awful. So the handoff will struggle too. I guess I gotta keep on w/ Android since Wi-Fi calling is integral to my service :(.

Well, I do know that you have those problems with like the S3 and the Note 2, but not the S5. The S5 hands it off well.

They may seem "helpful" but I would believe a single thing they tell you. It's not that they're liars, they just have no idea what's going on.
 
Any status on inventory of 16 gb silver/white iPhone 6 pluses? I received the 9/22-9/30 text/email but my card hasn't been charged yet. I ordered at ~04:00 pm on 9/12. My mobile order status page says "Preordered" and robobitch says my order is "processing but not yet ready for shipment". Any idea when I might get it? Is the 9/22-9/30 email accurate? Also, i don't understand why/how people who ordered hours/days after me are getting theirs before me.

I ordered the same configuration, about the same time. No charge, no pending and I got the 22-30 text.

I got the same. It is 5pm here and just got the email saying delivery today. Only problem is it is my office address and I am an hour away. Beyond pissed now. If I got this last night I could have gone in and likely had my phone by now. Still brings up nothing on UPS.

They are glorified call center really, just people good at dealing with irate people. I called him on it.. he just laughed..

On the plus side.. he also saw a tracking number for me.. He also confirmed that they generally don't ship on Saturdays, but he wasn't sure if this was an exception over this weekend because of the high volume.

UPS/Fedex had made some exceptions concerning this as well... I wouldn't be surprised if they are moving product all weekend.

Glad to know that i am not the only one that ordered later in the week and got a tracking number today. Ordered the same exact model.

Are you sure it said delivery or shipped?
 
Yep-- Verizon model is now the ultimate since it supports all the other GSM bands for US GSM carriers, PLUS Verizon's CDMA stuff.

Question (maybe you do or don't know the answer to this)-- it's been a few years since I've been on a CDMA carrier (Sprint). Back then, there were no SIM cards and the only way to switch devices was by calling the carrier and giving them a number on the hardware (ESN, maybe? Can't remember anymore). That alone locked those devices to one carrier. Is this all handled by SIM card now since LTE uses it?

No more of that ESN bs.. It's all SIM based now. Buy a Verizon unit, swap the SIM and go about your business.

I just picked my iP6 Plus ...but haven't opened it yet..
 
Okay good news. I did just get a call back from the exec office just now, pretty shocked for a Saturday evening in the middle of this disaster.

We went over my order and communications I had previously. He was very kind/polite. He said the text 9/22-9/30 is most definitely the one to have to use as a hint of legitimacy for when your order is coming available. Gave me 150 dollars off my total phone cost on-top of refunded my shipping 25 bucks and 50 dollar bill credit. Commended me how long we've been with TMobile and said it was a situation that needs to be corrected asap.

He also did say that Jump! customers did have a priority over others so that's why the dates don't all line up, some of you were passed since "that's what they pay for" I think now though all rest orders are by date. (Even though paying the premium insurance of almost the same cost is the same thing but not--another issue in itself).

Either the ERT is better trained, or you got the same guy I did. I didn't get nearly as big a credit, but honestly, I'd rather have the phone available. I did get the same spiel about jump, but he only pushed by ship date out further.
