9/12 morning. I know why they're cautious with dates now, but given that I was charged and label created, I don't need any of this BS.

The up to 6 weeks is just a generic answer. They have to be able to see in their system that your CC got charged and they generated a label for you.
 
I would think that the charge will drop off in a couple of days. I just received an email from T-Mobile last night saying that I was charged for my phone when the charge appeared on Wednesday. That caught me by surprise, so I checked my bank just to make sure that they didn't charge me twice (which they didn't). If you haven't gotten the charged email, hopefully it was just a pre-authorization charge that will drop off.

Maybe so, but it was an actual charge. I've never gotten a notification from amex about a preauthorization. This is just more of the same mixed-messages, disorganized crap they've been spewing over the past 2 weeks now.

That's exactly why I'm pissed. They can see the charge and label, so why patronize me with this crap? If they don't know, they should tell me they don't know, or at least do their best to tell me what's going on. I've said (to them even) that I didn't expect my phone on launch day, since I didn't order around midnight, but I did expect more regular, better communication.

A CS rep called me back, apparently the ERT is swamped and regular CSR's are assisting with the overflow.

She said my order is processed and awaiting pickup by UPS, their system is swamped but she said there's a possibility that my phone may be delivered today. She will followup Monday to make sure if I get it and if not then she will find out more info.

I let her know that my card had not been charged but she said they don't do that until after UPS picks up orders.

I'm confused.

Good that I'm not alone, but sad that you're in the same boat. Nothing but generic answers from tmo despite all of this. Surely they must know by now that we're not "ordinary" customers in terms of info, right?
