Man, I've called both my local Apple Stores and chatted online with Apple twice and they all tell me they don't do anything with T-Mobile plans. Only full retail "no-contract." What area are you from?

Weird, maybe my local store is different or one of the "pilot" stores mentioned earlier. The store I heard this from is in Gilbert, AZ.

I did some reading on the other pre-order threads and it looks like there is an unexplained delay with shipments since the 25th. People that preordered from Apple.com on the 12th still haven't gotten their phones either and people are reporting that despite having a label generated, they've had no movement via UPS since Friday. Good to know this isn't a T-Mobile problem but I'd be interested in learning what's going on that has seemingly brought iPhone 6 fulfillment to a crawl.

Yeah, I've seen some people on other threads complaining that att is sending phones out of order too. So I guess it's not just a T-Mobile problem.

I indeed read on 9to5Mac back in August that Apple Stores were pilot testing the ability to sign folks up on JUMP!, Next, and Edge. Never saw a follow-up

Maybe Apple knew ahead of time that T-Mobile's system was a f'ed up mess so they kept the the number of stores that work with T-Mobile to a minimum. OR maybe Apple did this because they knew they were gonna screw over T-Mobile on the supply end.

ok so maybe i just shot myself in the foot but i figured if im going to be waiting 4-6 weeks its going to be on my terms

cancelled my order- it had gone as an EIP

placed a new order - thru jump, now my order starts with "S"

Robo-lady finally had a different message for me and gave me a tracking number, saying my order was shipped today. However, that tracking number didn't work so I spoke with the rep. The rep told me they have a tracking number, but the phone is still on backorder - whatever that means. Aargh! Oh well, I guess that some progress is better than nothing.

UPDATE: UPS now has it in their system. Delivery scheduled for tomorrow.

iPhone 6 Plus, SG, 64GB
Ordered 8:00 pm 9/12
New customer
Card charged 9/25

Maybe Apple Stores don't deal with TMO contracts because they know that all of these "unlocked" phones (yes, I know full price VZW and ATT are also "unlocked", but not advertised as such) are getting gobbled up by scalpers. I haven't seen a TMO phone available in an Apple Store here in socal since launch. Low supply + scalpers = no phones for real TMO customers.

Just talked to a CSR .. He pretty much said I'll be waiting the full 6 weeks.. Even tho he verified that I tried to order on the 12 and wasn't able too because system issues.. I guess I'll pick up a new sport or something #

My experience is that the TMobile store reps are useless unless you want to sign up for new service. EVERY other issue I've gone there to deal with I end up being sent home and told to call Customer Service. "Our systems aren't set up to do that, you'll have to call Customer Service and they can take care of it for you". I don't know if this is always true, but its what they tell people to make them go away so they can focus on selling new lines. I've had good service from the 800 number, but I really get frustrated over the idiots they have working in their stores...

Ok, so I just called my local store in Roseville, CA and asked if I can get a phone on my current T-Mobile plan's EIP. She put me on hold to find out. She came back and said they indeed COULD.

I then asked if it HAD to be a T-Mobile no-contract phone in order to work and she said yes. I don't know how true that is, but at least now there's hope. Maybe I can reserve one online by paying full price and then just do a refund when I get there to sign up on an EIP instead.

I wouldn't be surprised if Apple haulted the shipment of all 6+ phones until they can properly address the 'bending' issue. What other reason could there be for the sudden pause in charging/shipping/movement of phones? I wish we had someone on the inside that could find out for us.

They already addressed it and so did Consumer Reports.

Agreed. I don't see Apple doing anything about this hyped up non-story.

I hope that's the case. I'm just grabbing at straws now. There has been literally no movement in shipping since Friday. And it's not just T-Mobile. People that ordered from Apple.com, VZW, AT&T, and Sprint are all complaining about their shipments not moving all of a sudden.

My router was 'supposed' to arrive today but it's also in limbo all of a sudden. It is stuck in the "Order Processed: Ready for UPS" stage.
