Long time lurker over here... I've been following the thread just to get an idea of how things are progressing. I ordered a 16GB 6+ in Gold and a 16 GB6+ in SG on 9/21 in the store. Since then no movements. Other than the "Congrat on your upgrade" and order confirmation text. I noticed a couple of people who ordered after 9/19 are beginning to see charges and shipping. I can't even look up my order on tmobile site. When I check order status is says it's not working and to try later. I have checked via #875# and robo lady; #875# says back order no date; and robo lady says its processing but not available to ship. I have UPS Choice but no emails and have checked reference using my number... nada nothing niltch! I'm so jealous of the people getting who ordered after the 19th already getting theirs and nothing on mine... no charges nothing!
 
Question has anyone considered buying the extended Apple care instead of T-mo handset protection?
I'm thinking of dropping JUMP but would definitely want some kind of insurance.

I may do this just because t-mo's coverage in my area is so bad in the few places where I really need it. I'm afraid I may have to Jump! to either ATT or VZW.
 
beside otter box what are some other cases to protect my unicorn when i get it need holster with the case

I am thinking about ordering a Trident case. They are similar to Otterbox in make and quality but I like the way they look better.

I've been crunching numbers on this (leaving AT&T for T-Mobile), and I went with just Applecare. Jump has some pluses, but that high deductible and the fact that I feel comfortable selling my phone in a year if I want to upgrade, swayed me from it.

I think that you'll be fine - seems like supplies are finally becoming more plentiful (maybe they were hoarding for other countries' releases?) - only issue now is the UPS bottleneck.

My wife's Apple Store 6+ order has been stuck in Asia since 9/26, taking a grand tour of Zhengzhou (China) -> Incheon (Korea) -> Hong Kong (China). :D

But that might just be an Apple thing. Keep us updated!

I'm still underwhelmed. It's just bigger, and that's about it. Maybe developers need time to take advantage of the bigger screen size, but most things are simply "just bigger." I think that if you see Apple have to come up with a slogan like "Bigger than Bigger!" it's a bad sign.

It's going to be a self-fulfilling prophecy, but I'll probably drop it someday too -- I don't have huge hands for a dude (save the jokes! :D), so it's a LOT harder to feel like it's secure. Then again, it is a significant difference in size that wasn't there when we went from 3.5"->4" iPhones.

I ran to the Apple Store to pick up a leather case to protect it and give it some more grip, so we'll see. I do think that the preorder/delivery ordeal took a lot of the joy out of the phone/experience.

Hopefully you all will have better impressions of it. :cool:
 
Did the #875# thing on my phone and it said System Unavailable. So I checked online and it finally shows "Shipped" and a link to the tracking number on myT-Mobile.
 
So I'm part of this 6+ waiting party again #

Just to recap, I had ordered the 6+ SG 64gb on the 13th but cancelled it because I thought I'd have better luck getting the regular 6 quicker. It's been about a week since I ordered it from tmobile, and yesterday the status changed to backordered # I called the sales rep and he said I'm looking at waiting 4-6 weeks for the regular 6. I figured if I'm going to be waiting, I might as well wait for the 6+. So I canceled the order for the regular 6, and just placed an order for the 6+. All this back and forth, ordering, canceling, reordering lol #

All hail the unicorn! #
 
I canceled my TMobile order after all their problems getting my order correct. Went and ordered a 6+, 128gb, silver/white phone with Sprint on Sept 28. It's on the UPS truck being delivered today.
 
whats the absolute first sign you are getting your phone? is it the CC charge, the UPS reference tracking, tmobile website status, or the robolady?
 
I feel a little better after talking with ERT yesterday and getting my bill credit but the waiting is driving me crazy. ....The hype is gone I just want this over with now.....smh

Tried to preorder on 9/12 online but, as we all know, the site wasn't live for preorders when it was supposed to be. Went to a T-Mo store to preorder in person but the systems crashed. Waited in line for a 6+ on 9/19 to only be told that the inventory was pretty much nonexistent.

Because of all this, I wrote a pretty lengthy email to three corporate addresses. Got a response back pretty quick -- apologies, bill credit, apologies, blah blah blah --- but the only thing that happened was a PREORDER on launch day.

It's been almost three weeks since launch day and T-Mo's pretty much resorted to calling me every 72 hours to "update" me on the status of my order, but it's the same script every time. "We can ensure you that we are getting iPhones in from Apple every day and working hard to fulfill your order".

I'm in Chicago. Does anyone have a similar experience in this area, and have you gotten your phone yet?? I "pre" ordered a 64gb space grey 6+

My story is pretty similar, I was able to pre-order on 9/16 after the weekend fiasco. Except the ERT hasn't given a bill credit to me, I am probably not getting angry enough.
