Are they really only getting 16gb's? i was thinking on going early friday to a t mobile store here in my city, i was looking for 64gb's. I was just going to call and cancel my order if i found them.

Most likely. T-Mobile orders a ton of 16GB and for the first few weeks anything higher is usually only available for direct shipment. Eventually, a few larger sizes will start slowing trickling in.

Ok, this happened to me today. I got my JUMPgrade through on 9/12 at 9:07AM PST. Backordered on the 13th. As of today no charge, no nothing from TMo on the bank end.

I called to verify. The automated system said I had 3 (!) pending orders. Two beginning in 213, one in S000. The two 213 orders had been canceled because no EIP was signed (one was placed on the 11th, so I'm guessing system noise more than an actual order) and the third was processing. Transferred to a rep to confirm and things got murky.

First rep had no idea what she was doing, transferred me to a sales rep who was the wrong person for the job, but he got me to a mid-level US based rep who could see the canceled orders and that was it. After some investigation, she could see the trade in order, but no details. She escalated it twice, and the latter rep confirmed this.

Finally I got to a tier 3 rep who let me know yes, the S000 order was valid, but that NO ONE below her would understand or see it without logging into my account. Per her words, online orders are handled through the website, in store through in store, and phone through customer care. None of those overlap, hence if you ordered online, the CC rep MAY NOT see that order.

So make sure you pursue all courses before you simply reorder. It may not be visible to the rep but might also be there FWIW.

Also worth noting, the tier 3 rep informed me that all orders were first come first served and would ship on the 19th. Not that I necessarily believe her despite her being incredibly polite.

You my friend are AWESOME. Sounds like I no longer need to worry that my order is not in, just sit back and play the waiting game for a few days. I'm hopeful that I will see a tracking number within the upcoming days.
 
I was told today that most people from T-Mobile won't get their phones until October. Unless you ordered in the first 12 minutes. I'm not really in a hurry because I like my HTC One M8 a lot so I canceled my order. Gonna wait until I find one in a store.
 
So we are almost to the end of the work day here on the east coast. I was hoping (probably naively) that those of us who ordered really early on 9/12 might see some changes/movement today. At this point what is everyone's next guess as to when orders will change (whether way from back ordered; or to shipping; or to just processing)?

Within the first 12 minutes sounds pretty ridiculous. Im willing to bet the timeframe was a little longer than that. Was this a T-Mobile rep saying that?

I agree we will not see any changes until wednesday/thursday. I keep trying but its getting dimmer and dimmer lol... I dont understand how they DON'T have their stock in hand yet? Bizarre.

Because Verizon knows what theyre doing. I preordered thru AT&T in the past and always always got it on launch day! I come to this company and the ball drops

This is something I have been asking myself ever since Verizon shipped the phones out to their customers. Like what the heck happened? Did t-mobile order late? Did Apple ship the phones out to t-mobile late?

Wondering this too. Is this the first iPhone pre-order launch that T-Mobile has has the iPhone for? I know they had it last year, but there was no pre-order period for the 5s. They didn't have the 5, right? I wonder if its a symptom of ATT and VZ having a few pre-order launches under the belt for Apple. Its a massive undertaking, something that I am sure dwarfs the pre-orders of any other device.

T-Mobile really needs to revamp their order system. All orders should be accessible by customer care and in-store representatives. It seems really foolish to me to have orders visible only to their respective sales channel.

Makes sense since JUMP! users are getting priority, so everyone else needed to probably order within that 12 minute time frame.

New tmobile customer here. My order status page says order placed. My credit card has a 1.00 hold & when i call the 1800 number to check my status, it says the order is backordered. I ordered with minutes of the website going live Friday morning. What do u guys think? Am I getting my phone on launch day?

Arent the tmobile stores only carrying 16gb in stores like all other models.

Actually I just called cs rep to check on my order and was told no store will carry phones. All inventory will go to preorders

I'm sure the stores will get some phones. I can see their supply being lower than anticipated to fulfill pre-orders, but I can't imagine launch day with no iPhones available.

Actually it makes sense. When T-Mobile first got iPads they didn't carry models in store for a long time you could only order for home delivery
