Just hung up with a rep. I've lost count of how many times I've spoken with them now , but this last answer I got finally makes sense to me.

The rep (Crystal) said that if you have a # that starts with "00xxxxxx" your order was taken manually. She said that last night (this morning; midnight) they were having something called "Apple Down Time." She said that during this time, no orders were entered into the computer but that you still are assigned to that phone you ordered; you're still in front of the line for actual phone assignment, regardless of whether you got your email right away or haven't gotten it yet. She said that people who ordered this morning after around 8ish were getting EIP emails right away but a lot of their phones are back ordered, where that is not the case for those of us who placed our orders as soon as we could around midnight. She said the email would come, no worries.

So I'm gonna enjoy the rest of my day and quit stressing. :)
One big fat lie I called at 10am est. and was guaranteed the 25th.

When I called this morning about my no email she said they have 72 hours to send the email. Then from when you get it you have 48 hrs to sign it. And the emails would be processed this weekend arriving most likely monday morning or late sunday night. I ordered mine on the phone last night at 3:20am est ish. I got thru right away after it started. My order number starts with "00119xxx" . I signed up for JoD with my purchase and had to pay 159 total (99.99 and tax etc).

6s+ R. Gold 64gb (I didn't any memory upgrades or money off, assuming because I'm a new JoD customer).

Woman on the phone today also said my order is in there and she can see it so it definitely stuck in there from last night just no EIP mail thing yet.

I remember last year how I placed an order on Sunday and still received my handset faster than some that had ordered on the night. It’s still the luck of the draw and the reps telling those with an 00XXXXX number that it will be fine, are just trying to get folks off the phone.

Until you have an actual order number, there is no order.

She didn't say ALL of their phones were backordered. She said some.

Last night when I placed my order in the VERY early orders. Right in the first 30 min of the start up. She said all models/sizes/colours show as back ordered because they don't have any phones physically there to assign to you technically. to not to panic. So no idea who "really" is back ordered yet from the first batches.

You know what one of the great things about words is? They mean things. So "a lot" has a much different meaning than "all." My post said "a lot" we're back ordered. Not "all."

You good?

And I've been told different. Guess we'll all see soon enough. :)

Thanks for the info AppleChic! I think I will do the same and stop worrying. :)

I placed my order at 2:03am central time that's 12:03am pdt. I ordered online a rose gold 64 plus and a 128 space gray plus. I got my eip and order confirmation within 4 minutes. I had to pay 99.99 upfront for 64 and 199.99 for space gray at 24 month 31.00 a month payments. I was under the impression it would be discounted? The rep I spoke with said I was on jump 2 I explained I wanted to keep my phones and sell my self. She said I'm ineligible for jump on demand because I have to trade in my 2 old phones which I don't want to do. I'm kinda stumped? I don't feel like that was the right answer. My plan is to sell my old phones my self and apply that money to the new phones. And pay the difference. Anywho, if anyone can help clarify this, that would be great.

just got my confirmation from t-mobile!!!! my only hope now is getting the phone on release date or within that week!

I don't have an email either and was done ordering by 3:04 eastern. I would call except I'm not sure how many times and in how many different ways we need to be told to wait 24-72h :p

It doesn't matter the specifics. It doesn't matter which rep said what which phone call. When we originally placed the order we were all told it would take at least a day to get confirmation, the website says the same. If I was to guess i would say that harassing reps over and over will not change that.

She said "alot". Sad thing is I woke up at 3am ordered at Apple full price and then this morning I got the bright idea to do JOD and cancelled my apple one. So if I don't get it on the 25th I will look like an idiot.

Just a reminder or letting any new people to the thread know. From last year some good tips for tracking your phone status:

Make a bank or credit card alert thresh hold for over like 50 bucks or whatever so you can see when you get charged by tmobile. when they charged you last year it meant you had a phone actually attached to your name/order and were getting it soon

Make a UPS My first choice whatever account, its free. You can set it to alert you when a label to created for your address. You can see asap when they make a label that is set to come to you and if i recall the package was like 1-2 lbs or some ****. (the routers were more and throwing people off last year lol)

I did a normal EIP non-Jump upgrade and already have email/text confirmation. Since JUMP orders are prioritized, I'm sure you folks will be just fine.

I think if there's any one thing that this thread brings to light it's that TMo hasn't done great in training its staff for pre-ordering. While every rep I've spoken with has been very kind and patient, the one thing they lack is a uniform answer. Hopefully it'll be better by the time the 7 drops.

It's the same every year. But honestly last year I ordered late and I got them on release day. I think everything will be fine

How long were you guys on hold last night (this morning?) My clock was at 55 minutes before the rep answered :/

I called at 2:45am got thru asap and talked to a woman who was clueless then proceeded to tell me to go to the store to preorder. I said no I could do it on the phone literally in the next 2 min. she said she'd call me back. (lol didn't call me back) I called myself at 2:58am ish and got thru within 2-5 min and took about 20 min to do my order. To be fair it was done once as a reg jump then she said she could do it as a JoD so she canceled the first order and did it again. Today when I called to ask about the email not coming I was waiting for the auto call back for over an hour.

One of the phones was ordered with the wrong color, and this is after repeating my choices over the phone several times. I am on the phone trying to fix this. Customer service not helpful so far, asking to cancel the order and placing a new one. Frustrating. Please let me know if you have had to deal with anything like this and what was the solution offered to you.

Just got another email from T-Mobile separate from the EIP and EIP confirmation confirming my order with overnight shipping. Also got a text.

My total call duration was 39 minutes. I'd say talk time with the rep was probably about 15 minutes, maybe slightly less.

I was told that they could only do JOD customers over the phone and Jump! customers had to go to a retail store. So I went first thing this morning 10am and placed my order in the store. I got the EIP agreement while standing in the store. Came home signed the agreement. Took about 10 minutes at the store. They said T-Mobile gave me free next day delivery. I think if i'm not mistaken my last iPhone 6 Plus was delivered on Saturday. Process went well supply will determine when my phone arrives.

I made another order and got my EIP immediately. I have 48hours to sign it.

If my "manual order" doesn't come through to me in 48 hours I'm just going to electronically sign this one and let the other one expire.
