When did you order and which color?

I went silver this time. I've had a black 3gs, white 4, numerous black nexuses (nexi?), a space gray 5s, and now back to silver/white.

I'm curious, though, how many people are doing the JOD? I'm doing the math, and I can't find a reason not to do it. Even if you keep the phone, it's cheaper than buying it outright, right?

I've sold a lot of tech, but it is getting harder to sell iPhones these days. I mean, there are a lot of models to choose from. Basically, you're losing, roughly, what you'd lose by trying to sell the phone on eBay or swappa every year, right? Even if you get, maybe, an extra $50 for buying it outright and selling it yourself, is it worth the hassle anymore?

My 6S Rose Gold 64GB is still backordered. I originally ordered on the 12th, but had to be canceled since the reps accidentally ordered a gold version. They "fixed" my order on the 14th and guaranteed my place in line, but it seems it was just a new order which put me at the back of the line. :(

I contemplated doing JOD I'm a regular JUMP customer. But I see JOD gets better options like upgrading to a higher storage capacity at no extra charge, priority shipping, and the list goes on. I don't think I've ever sold a phone I fact I haven't if I didn't use it to upgrade I gave it to my husband. So idk but I'm curious to know

That sucks I'm in the same boat, back ordered. Placed my order on 9/15 haven't seen any activity on my account. Going to be a long month

So do we return our phones to the store or not??? I got that same email a few hours ago, but people are being told to mail their phone in? In a bag, no less?

I'm sorry, but I'm not about to send out an iPhone 6+ in a bag to some random device inspection department when I was told from the beginning of all this that I'd have to return my device in-store.

There's gotta be a better way. C'mon T-Mobile--this left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing has grown old and tired.

Take the phone to a store.

Let me repeat, TAKE IT TO A STORE. I am dealing with a 700+ dollar issue from a previous return. Their receiving Department is incompetent.

I was told when I purchased on JoD, return the old device in store. Period.

Looks like to my surprise, T-mobile was able to correct the issue I had. My order status now says shipped and has a tracking #!!! Nothing on UPS sight yet but since it is overnight, I am expecting them on Monday / Tuesday at the latest now.

My box wasn't beat up at all but I still think it's pretty crazy that they send it in a thin bubble bag. At UPS a lady was sending a big box to Los Angeles and asked the worker to put fragile stickers on it. The guy was like "Mam, they are going to throw it anyway, the stickers do nothing."

I tried to take it to a store yesterday. They had no idea what to do with it. Put s note on my account boxed it for me and told me to ship it using the label provided.

I've already put it in the mail and now these emails and texts go out. Unreal.

Thanks! I was wondering this myself. Is there any way to force it to look for and/or connect to band 12?

I am starting to wonder if the 700mhz spectrum map posted on spectrum-gateway.appspot.com is accurate for my area. It shows "on air" here... I just used the field test mode at home and got "4." I was at Walmart earlier - the place where my 5s always goes to "no service" in half the store - and my new beautiful iPhone also lost service completely. :-( Bummed about that, but still love the new phone.

ETA: I did more research and found that t-mo just announced yesterday that 700mhz is live throughout LA and surrounding areas. I'm in one of the surrounding areas and my city was listed in their press release. Not feeling the band 12 love though.... Maybe it's going to get better. Maybe the announcement was slightly premature for my exact town but was included in the press release anyway. Guess time will tell. I'd still love to know if there is a way to 'scan' for band 12 availability.
We can't run the cellscan apps that Android users have because Apple will not allow devs to use the cell radio api. So sadly field test mode is the best we have.

As was noted you don't get B12 unless you have poor B4. Notice how mine went from edge to B12 LTE. That's because in my house B4 LTE is zero.

Yep! I ordered mine in-store on the evening of 9/18 and it got into Honolulu last night. Picked it up on my lunch break today. The Rose Gold is BEAUTIFUL!!

Honolulu was actually the first plane/destination to arrive yesterday with iPhones from Louisville.

REVIEW THUSFAR:

I haven't used my phone much today but it's pretty much better in every area except two, so I'll start with the Cons followed by the Pros. Using it, I could have held out for the iPhone 7. It wouldn't have been that much of a big deal, but I always like to have the newest model. I recommend people compare for themselves to see if the upgrades are worth it to them before spending more money. If you don't have a 6+ and want 128GB now, you have to get the 6S+ since they dropped that size on the 6 series.

Cons vs. the 6+:

• Weight: It is noticeably heavier on the 6S+ than the 6+. If you drop this you have a much greater chance of cracking the glass. You don't think 20 grams is a lot (4 nickels) but it's almost 3/4 of an ounce, and is 12% heavier than the 6+, going from 172g to 192g. I certainly feel the extra strain in my hand.

• Battery: Seems to drop 10-20% faster (depending on what you're doing) than the 6+. Battery decreased in size by 5%, along with the faster processor, 3D Touch, and Taptic Engine will obviously result in more power being used.

Pros over the 6+:

• Much better glass. The 6+ had the worst glass ever on an iPhone and always got spotted and full of fingerprints which I've never had on any other iPhone. Also, I was wearing a black shirt, and both screens were clean and phones off and the glass on the 6S+ had a much sharper reflection and my shirt looked black whereas with the 6+ it looked gray. So far 0 fingerprints or spots on the 6S+. I guess the new Ion strengthened glass really makes a difference, and it even feels smoother. My 6+ had five areas missing the oleophobic coating, too, which you could see when cleaning it with liquid.

• Faster processor: everything is snappy and nothing lags or drags. Menus move quick, app switcher moves quick, apps open faster, phone shuts down much faster and restarts faster, etc.

• Touch ID: greatly improved, even during set-up. Super fast response to unlocking. Nice work here.

• 3D Touch: it will have more benefits in the future but even now it works fairly nicely. The only issue is the deep press — whether set on light or firm it makes no difference, it's a matter of holding the press down longer before doing a deep press, otherwise it requires really pushing hard.

• Siri: Hey Siri finally works without being plugged in.

• Enhanced LTE: Whereas I used to get 1-2 bars inside (even though I'm only 0.4 miles from my tower and my parents live 1.3 miles from theirs and they get 4-5 bars on the 6+), now I get 2-3 bars inside. Outside, like I posted a pic the other night, when I get 5 bars at -80dB I get 96Mb/s down and 28Mb/s up, so hopefully the 6S+ will pull equally fast LTE speeds.

• Finally MIMO Wi-Fi: for me this used to be an issue whereas my (former) iPad Air 2 (before I sold it) would get twice the WiFi speed, but then I fixed the issue so the iPad only was a tiny bit faster. I have 200/20 internet so it pulls the full speed, same as before. I have the newest AirPort Extreme router though so it's not an issue for me but other people will see improvements especially if using WiFi for networking and not internet where speeds can theoretically achieve 866Mbps with MIMO and 802.11ac.

• iSight Camera: Enhanced detail, more natural color balance, still grainy in low light areas but with less noise, better overall, but only 50% improvement....

• FaceTime/Selfie camera: This, to me is a bigger improvement because the quality is 4x greater than before and the recipient of your FaceTime call sees you much clearer. My mother couldn't believe the difference when we tried it. She was terribly grainy with the 1.2MP, and said I looked fantastic with the 5MP.

• Accessories: I always use a clear case and I was disappointed when Spigen told me for the thin fit clear case I needed their new, bigger one, when I still had 2 unopened ones for the 6+ left. Well, they both fit, (the newer one just protrudes ever so slightly more but the hole around the power button is huge and ugly) and it's a good thing because the new Spigen clear polycarbonate case is as slippery as the phone itself, but the older model case for the 6+ which they no longer make is crystal clear but with some type of slip-free additive which gives it a much better grip. I also keep it in a custom made (from Germany) very fine quality leather pouch sized to fit this case, then inside a neoprene pouch for total protection. I have a Suede pouch as well from the same company but that only fits the phone naked.

Further reviews to follow with more use. Even though I hate how Apple Music replaced most of the proper album art, I do like how it still has a copy of almost all my music in there for online streaming, of course the sound quality is much less at 256kbps MP3 vs. lossless decoded to CD quality at 1,411kbps.

I had the same issue with the 6 and was able to get an easy replacement at the Apple store.

I had that problem with my first gen iPad Air and they replaced it. But since the 6+ are all sold out he may have a hard time getting a replacement now, though the Apple stores usually have spares on hand for that. But I had bought the iPad from the Apple Store. If he bought it through T-Mobile he will likely have to exchange it with T-Mobile; I didn't read all of it so I don't know where he got it.

That's nuts! This is my first time preordering through T-Mobile for the iPhone, I can't believe this is how they are shipping customers their $900 devices. NEVER AGAIN will I order anything through TMOBILE if this is how they're shipping merchandises. I can't believe people are ok and accepting this kind of horrible business practice from T-Mobile. If Verizon, Sprint, Apple, and AT&T can take time to box up iPhones, T-Mobile can sure as hell do the same thing too.

As for you JOD, follow the instructions in your email, if a sales rep can't help you, talk to the manager and show him the email. Good luck =)

I'm glad some of you agree with me. Apparently the majority seem to think it's no big deal and I should shut up and be okay with a completely battered (even up into the plastic tray) box on a device I paid $1,035.49 for.

I purchased my 6 through T-Mobile and they still gave me a replacement at the Apple store within the first week. They should have a few phones on hand I believe.

You can exchange at an Apple Store if you bought through T-Mobile.

Had a dead pixel on my original 6 plus last year and replaced it at an Apple Store.

What if you're on JoD, and you exchange your iphone at an apple store and you want to upgrade your phone at t-mobile, will t-mobile accept the exchanged iphone still?
