What if you're on JoD, and you exchange your iphone at an apple store and you want to upgrade your phone at t-mobile, will t-mobile accept the exchanged iphone still?

Just call T-Mobile with the updated IMEI so they can put it in their system. I spoke with 2 different reps about this yesterday as I'm opting for AppleCare+. They told me to just call if I ever get a replacement and it'll be no issue when you want to JoD later. If the IMEIs don't match, then yeah, you'll have some problems.

I understand his frustration. Experienced this first-hand with last year's preorder, when my phone box came completely mashed. This year, I ordered two of them as gifts and I'll be pissed if they turn up in the same fashion. Completely unacceptable on T-Mobile's part.
well theres a difference between being frustrated and pissed off. Guy in the thread was pissed off and seemed to be overreacting. Yes, you spent lots of money on a phone and certain people expect the box to be dent free. guess what? if you want a dent free phone box, wait in line at a apple store and pick one up. I've had many phones shipped to me, via a regular cardboard box and boxes were dented just like the person who is complaining about it. It is a hit or miss.

I did get both! 6S RG 64 GB showed up about an hour after the first one! I am in SF - there are tons of UPS trucks around!

Well then again I don't live in SF and apparently Sf is so big you guys do get multiple trucks! It's good that I was wrong lol. Enjoy your phones!

okay. thanks.

Got the text this morning to disregard the packaging instructions on mailing the phone back. I fully expect to bring it into a store today and for them to look at me like I have two heads and not know what to do. I love T-Mobile but I honestly think they have some severe communication and systems issues between their divisions. Corporate, retail, CS they each say something different.

Yep. Store told me yesterday to send it back using the label provided. I did and now I'm worried about it. T-Mobile Twitter peeps said it was fine if o sent it using the label.

So if I dump the phone I'm exchanging in the white bag they mailed my new iPhones in, what is to stop it from getting broken in transit? (And then I don't get credit because the screen shows up cracked.)

Take the phone to a store.

Let me repeat, TAKE IT TO A STORE. I am dealing with a 700+ dollar issue from a previous return. Their receiving Department is incompetent.

I was told when I purchased on JoD, return the old device in store. Period.

I was told AT THE T-mobile store by a rep yesterday when I was purchasing my wifes iphone 6s gold plus 128GB, that since I preordered mine (I was ready to give them my old phone right there for the trade in required by JOD) that I have to ship it with the included shipping label I got in my package. This morning I got a text saying DO NOT ship it, bring it to your nearest store. I am so confused. I am going to visit a different T-mobile store and hopefully the rep there can just take it.

I just turned in 2 phones. Took about 10 minutes. No problems. The lady helping me was on the phone with another employee at a different store who was having problems returning a customer's phone. It didn't seem like he knew what he was doing. I guess it's the luck of the draw. You either get a good rep or a dumb one. Wise choice trying another store. Seems like T Mobile needs to educate their people more.

That is exactly what's going to happen. I'm going into this store visit today already thinking it won't work. That way if it does, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Will we have to get Legere and the ERT involved with this, too? Seems like the only way to make stuff happen like it should and when it should.

How do I know the progress of "restore from iCloud backup" my iPhone6s has been doing this for more than 12 hours

Does anybody know if you can get the JOD deal at an Apple Store? None of the T-Mobile stores around me have the 128gb.

I wanted to take advantage of the Amp'd JOD before Labor Day promotion. I called customer service to see if this was possible and was told yes. So I bought a cheap Windows phone from Amazon to be used for the credit.

Went to a T-Mobile store only to be told I couldn't do that. Went to another store and was done in 20 minutes. How this is possible is baffling. T-Mobile has much work to do to improve their sales process, including better communication and training.

Here's the info from Apple's Website:

Doesn't look they've updated to JoD yet.

Updated yesterday.

Item: Apple iPhone 6s Plus - Rose Gold - 64GB
Status: Awaiting more inventory. Expected to ship between 09/26/2015 and 10/03/2015
When did you order this is corn I ordered 9/15 and it says early November

So update on my situation. The UPS driver pulled in my driveway yesterday never got out the car and drove off. I called the center they said the phones were never on the truck and the trailer just got there so the out for delivery status was wrong. I ask her if I can place a hold on it and she gives me another number to call. I call the number and he says I can pick it up this morning at 10.

I drive up to the ups hub about 20 min away and my package is not ready. She gave a bs excuse and said it might not be ready until Monday night or Tuesday. That's absurd for something that's supposed to be shipped next day air saver. Luckily my brother knows the hub's supervisor and he said he'll have it ready Monday morning. UPS is terrible. I always have a problem with them.

That's still tempting... is Jump still a good option for someone like me who only wants to upgrade once a year and not 2-3 times a year like JOD lets you?
