i received my phone yesterday and i dont know if its just me but the backlight on my screen isn't even.. like the left part is dark and the right part is lighter. I wonder if I can change the phone at t-mobile or apple store?

Thanks

Apple Store, it's a warranty issue. They'll exchange if they've got stock. If not they'll do it by mail.

Hi! I'm new to the forum. I just came back from my local store. All of the associates tried to help me process the JoD return, but they said their system would not allow them to do so and that I would have to contact customer care to obtain a return label since T-Mobile didn't ship one to me. Yes, I know they texted everyone to ONLY return it at the store, but I pre-ordered the 6s Plus over the phone and the associates think that could be the reason for the failed return. I also pre-ordered 2 additional phones at the store and I am able to process returns at the store for those. Besides the phone vs. in-store difference, what I also noticed is that a trade-in was also done as part of the in-store pre-order. This could be THE reason for the return problem. It's just a guess.

Anyway, I just finished an online chat session and I was sent a return label and a note was added to my account that I attempted to return at the store today but was unsuccessful. The rep indicated that if I was charged for both the old and the new lease I would see a credit on my bill once the phone is received.

TL;DR: I have to return the old phone by mail which is probably due to the phone rep not (properly?) processing a trade-in of the old phone as part of the pre-order.

That's still tempting... is Jump still a good option for someone like me who only wants to upgrade once a year and not 2-3 times a year like JOD lets you?

I have JUMP! and don't mind paying the $10 fee because it includes Insurance and the premium version of the app Lookout. I've only upgraded yearly and either paid my phone off before the next iPhone or turn it in after the upgrade and after 50% of the device was paid off. Haven't had any problems.

Same thing happened to me. They told me I had two phones on each line (which they claimed wasn't possible but obviously that's what they were seeing). Long story short I got a $10 per month bill credit for the trouble. I'll take it.

If the people in the store call customer care (their internal version) they will be able to help them do it in store. My local store did mine this afternoon. But they could not do it until customer care "fixed" it as they put it.

Got my phone, however how do I return my old one.... I only got the phone in the package
I took mine to a t mobile store and they couldn't figure out how to process the JOD return. They didn't have the right button to process it in the system. After 90 minutes I gave up.
For those of you on JOD...Did you just take your old iPhone 6 to your local t-mobile store?
What do you need to return with jump on demand? Do they need charger and cable ?
Ya, did y'all take the JOD back to store, or gonna mail them? and this SOB is FASSSSST Feels faster than my iPad air 2 to be honest. Touch ID is like wow blazing fast. The RG looks more Salmon and copper tone vs pink. In some lights it does look a little pinkish...no worries to me tho. :)
View attachment 586294 If you upgraded by Jump on demand DO NOT RETURN YIUR PHONE BY MAIL.... Take it to the store. Just got a text message to take my old phone to a Tmobile store
My box was beat up too. Also I got this email today. Is it true that JOD people have to turn their phone into the store?

I took my phone to the store today and they refused to take it saying I had to ship it back. What should I do?
So, I guess it depends on your situation.

To pre-order my 6s, I went into the store, was not on JOD, but had 11 months paid on 24 month plan, I pre-ordered a 6s on the JOD promo. (on the 16th), they told me to send my old phone back. I did not get a text saying to go into the store with the old phone.

I got a Merchandise Return Label in my package, no postage necessary, just put the old phone in the bag (I put it in my old iPhone 6 box), write "from" address, put return label over UPS shipping label, remove or black out the smaller UPS lable, tape it shut (w/packing tape), and either put in mailbox or drop at Post Office. The return is USPS, not UPS.

Wow!! Tmobile called and they gave 70 dollars credit and said they were sorry that they shipped my iPhone using ground shipping instead of giving one day air shipping.
My question is that how does jump thingy work the program"jump" or "jod"? how much do you pay? is it helpful? is it beneficial?by doing all the calculations is it worth it?

Wow. Supervisor from T-Mobile just offered me a $100 credit.

This is why I like T-Mobile. If you're seriously disgruntled for good reason, they'll take care of you.
I'm very glad that they are working to make you happy. You deserve that. You have been I think the most patient of any of us here (all while being sick). So it's great to see them offering to make things better, what I wish they could give you is your phone.

The reps didn't get any training. They also told me I had to ship it but I showed them the email. She then called and got instructions and was able to process the return.

The funny thing is I went into T-Mobile on Valentine's Day to trade in for another 6+ and used my JUMP! upgrade they packed the phone (my 5s) for me in bubble wrap. I ended up returning the 6+ the next day and cancelled my JUMP upgrade. Fast forward and I have the 6s+ now and my other 6+. My 5s is already packaged and ready to be shipped back.

Well I'm happy to say that the in-store JoD return process was smooth as hell. Seems like the key is finding a competent employee because there was one girl that flat out said she couldn't do it even though they had a printout of instructions to follow.

Is there anyone here who processed the in-store JoD return successfully who lives in NYC/Brooklyn? I went to 2 stores today and no one could help me before I gave up and did the online chat.

so here is my story. Please read it and tell me if you are in the same situation as me. And You for reading!
so i was with at&t then i switched to tmobile hoping i would get good internet for cheaper price. so on the 13th sept i went to a tmobile store and got a 4 line plan. I ordered 2 iphone 6s.
Then on the sept 23th i got my shipping info on my email saying ur phone it's on the way and it had a tracking number. So i called tmobile to make sure that if i will receive it on the 25th. The tmobile rep said yes sir you will receive it on the 25th every customer gets one day shipping. So i was excited about my new iphones. On the 24th sept i tracked my package and it said that ur expected delivery is on the 29th sept. and ur package is in transit. i got really mad and called tmobile, the told me we are sorry and i will give you 30 dollars credit. and they told me we can't do anything because the package is in transit we can''t change the shipping method. so i was like "fineee".
Then on the 25th sept, i saw some posts on the internet saying tmobile messed up my account and they called me and gave me 100 dollars credit. so i called tmobile on the 25th sept, and asked why i only got "30 dollars" credit and others got 100. they told me we can't give you more credit for the same reason. "the system won't let us".
So now at this point i am mad and jeolous how some people received their phones eventhough they pre ordered after me.
AND NOW I AM WAITING TO GET MY PHONES ON THE 29TH
If i see that my package was delivered on a CHEAP PLASTIC BAG and my box is all messed up. I SWEAR THE GOD I WILL call tmobile and talk the bad thing i can. and now i am just waiting and waiting and mad. DIDN'T EXPECT TMOBILE TO BE THIS BAD. REALLY DISAPPOINTED.
Reply if you are in the same boat you pre order early but you have ground shipping method so you are receiving it late.
Thank you for reading and sorry if i made any grammer mistake plz reply and help me what should i do..

I understand you are mad and upset that you haven't gotten your phone but at least your phone is on the way. I originally order my phone on the 12th. They ordered wrong phone. Called back and order on the 15th but still ordered the wrong phone. I finally got the right order for a iPhone 6s Plus 128 GB RG on the 18th that makes me wait til between the 1st and 8th for my phone to be shipped if they get the inventory. Just try to stay calm. At least you got a credit. I haven't gotten anything!

Thank you but I think there are people here, like the person who said T-Mobile had lost their phone (I think I saw it here, could of been in another thread), that make me think my situation wasn't that bad.

I feel for people with Verizon, AT&T, Sprint or any other carrier that wouldn't compensate but instead make excuses. I'm lucky, T-Mobile hasn't reached that level yet where they are so big they just disregard their customer complaints.

I'll get my phone a little late but it could of been worse right? Like no promised shipping date, pending, phone was lost, etc. =)

P.S Crohns Disease can be a nightmare. LOL

People dealing with T-Mobile:

They are just human. It's okay to tell them you are upset. It's not okay to yell at them, degrade their jobs, call them names, etc.

You'll get further if you contact customer service, write them on Facebook, etc and explain the situation politely.

We're lucky our carrier actually cares about us. A lot of others aren't even getting much more than a "I'm sorry, but you'll still get the phone, so get over it.".

If you're given a date to receive the phone, just relax and read some reviews. Watch some movies. Or just get out of the house for a bit. =)

Same thing happened to me they kept telling me I could only return it if I had bought the 6S+ from their store. Once I showed them the text the rep called the customer service line and I was good to go.

so i was getting lte in my house for past two days and now im back to my old non-service. i wonder what happened?

im using the new one. but whats weird is that it seems it started happening when i turned my old phone back on

This may sound dumb but check to make sure LTE is still turned on. If it is I would first try a hard reset and see if that fixes it.

you can claim it was an order error and they ordered the wrong phone. play that route then you don't get charged for a return of phone and not use a jump :)
Except that would be a blatant lie if you changed your mind on the color choice and said they ordered you the wrong one. If you changed your mind, pay the fee, take the jump, and keep your integrity.
