I called and placed my order at midnight and was done by 1230. Got a 0012xxxx confirmation number. Got a text yesterday but no email yet. She did say 24 - 48 hours so I guess they technically have until 1230 tonight?

I can't image not having insurance on a phone (in my case) that cost $949 dollars. I'm not prone to loosing it or don't "think" its going to get stolen but it happens. I think thats just crazy.. but to each their own.

Yeah.. I cracked my first iPhone screen in 5 years last week so I'm nervous. I know the phone comes with one year but it doesn't cover accidental damage, right? I'm less afraid of lost and stolen and more afraid of cracking it. I don't use cases.

I ordered two phones at 3:30 AM. I received the EIP for one last night, but not the other. Has this happened to anyone else? The orders were made no more than five minutes apart.

So it's now about 13 hours later since I received the EIP for one pre-ordered phone, but one email still not yet received.

Did everyone include insurance on your jump on demand order? The breakdown between that and AppleCare is this:

Tmobile: monthly charge (8x12) $96 plus the deductible $175 would come to $271 should you need a replacement.

Apple: down payment $129 plus deductible $99 would come to $228 should you need a replacement.

The $43 is a big difference, but I'm thinking it's not worth the hassle of changing my plan and screwing my order up. And hopefully I'll just never have to use it. Thoughts?

Keep in mind that the $129 for AppleCare+ is for TWO years of accident coverage. So $96 for 1 year vs. $129 for 2 years. AppleCare+ is the better value IMO, especially since I've never lost a phone.

And also keep in mind that should you upgrade to the iPhone 7 next fall, you can cancel you current AppleCare+ and get a prorated refund that you can apply to coverage for your new phone. A lot of people don't know this and end up throwing away money every year.

The phone has one year AppleCare. If you plan on Jumping in a year to the iPhone 7 I don't see need for insurance. Unless you are prone to losing or having the phone stolen.

A new iPhone does NOT come with 1 year of AppleCare+. It comes with a 1 year manufacturer's warranty, which covers defects. It doesn't cover accidents, water damage, etc. You need AppleCare+ to cover that, even during the first year.

I'm not trying to be a know-it-all, but I don't want people getting the wrong idea thinking that they're covered for accidents fresh out of the gate. All that is covered is defects or malfunctions.

I've been nice now this last call I make will be to end my service with them. 5 calls, an email, and still NO ONE seems to have the competence to assist me. I'm done

Another day, still don't have anything in writing confirming that I ordered a second iPhone for my wife.
I have something for the first phone but they want me to sign something with their word that I'll get a "discount" later.
In spite of staying up all night and ordering at the beginning, my place in line is as if I would have slept in, had breakfast, and enjoyed my day before pre-ordering.

F#$@# this. I was switching over from AT&T, but not any more. I'm done with this mess. I have better things in my life to do.

Check the fine print. Your monthly charges likely increased by $5.50 per month ("free upgrade to 64GB" or "$99 upfront" = extra charge of $5.50 per month).
They clarified it for me when I called in. Said they saw different things in their system. But they did mess up my second line's EIP. They put it on regular Jump instead of JOD. That took a while to fix but thankfully I caught that mistake.

I called in the middle of the night last night because I was getting worried, almost 24 hours and no email or even ticket number. They were finally able to give me an actual order number starting with S00210. But I still haven't gotten the email to sign. Starting to get worried again, and will probably end up having to call once again this afternoon to see if someone can push the documents to me. This is crazy.

No email by midnight so I called back like they told me to. After a 20 minute call including two lengthy hold periods, they couldn't seem to find my order and the EIP email associated with it. Could see the order has been placed so I won't lose my spot in line but they can't seem to find the order. Said they'd call back within three hours.

1:15 am Sunday--they found my order; it's there but there's a backlog in sending out the emails (despite lots of people already receiving them). Rep says I should have the email by midnight tonight; she will check my account and call back if it hadn't been sent.

Im so freakin' over TMo. They had a chance to be so much better than this and yet...

Yea that happened to me also. I called in and they kept saying they'd resend the emails. One person was able to give me the order number for the second order and it turns out they ordered the wrong color. So I had to re-place the order. Got that EIP pretty quickly but at the back of the line for that one. Oh well.

Quoting myself because just got off the phone with T-mobile. He said I will receive the email within the next 24 hours and they are just really behind due to the large number of orders. Said the orders aren't necessarily being physically "keyed in" in the order they are received but each order when "keyed" in has a field to enter the number that you received when first calling (0012xxxx or such number). The orders will be prioritized based on this number, not the actual order numbers. Those that called in later and just got an SO order number were just not told their 00xxxxxx number. But a number was keyed in and your place in line is determined by this number.

So to summarize. Some physical orders are being keyed in out of order but you ARE being placed in line based on when you placed the order over the phone. Mine was for JoD.

Can you post what the first eBill looked like and what the 2nd one was (after you corrected it?)

My monthly payment are ALL messed up.

I've used AppleCare+ in the past on my wife's phone and understand the coverage and deductible. But for the T-Mobile insurance, is there a deductible and is it a different amount depending on the damage/replacement? Like, for a cracked screen would the deductible be different than a completely broken (or lost for that matter) phone?

How much is the prorated refund if you cancel after 12 months (exactly half the time?). If you end up paying $65 for a year of applecare+ and the deductible is only $99, i'll be removing T-Mobile's insurance and doing it through Apple.

I believe it's $175 regardless of whether you crack the screen or get it stolen.

If you don't have insurance, and you go to trade in your phone, you'll pay $250 for each of the following problems: 1) water damage 2) cracked screen 3) won't turn on.

If you do have insurance, and you have one of those issues, the deductible is $175.

Yeah this is what I was told . I ordred way back at 3:24am and had a 0011XXXX number given to my on the phone. Then I didn't receive the email till way late that evening where I got a new number says like S000614... and I called to bitch because my order time shouldn't be so vastly different (avoiding the drama last year where my order got skipped by people order days later etc). And the guy said its in the system for 3:24am.

--But he can't look up my order with that first order number however, he can only look it up with the new one....which worries me. So not sure how they're keeping the order correct unless those manually key'ed in ones are being processed specially.

Ok that jives with what I was told also.

does anyone remember when they charge your card? i used an account i dont use often so i want to make sure i have the money in there at the right time.

Thanks. My plan would be that at the end of 18 months, I'll pay the $182 plus taxes and pass it to my wife or one of my kids. I don't plan to trade it in so I just want to own it and have the appropriate coverage should ever need it.

I think it sucks super big time I have to wait 24 hours before I can pre-order again after they messed up and had to cancel my order.

Not sure really. I just cancelled it on my current 6+ that I bought in early January and my refund was $59.xx. Keep in mind AppleCare+ was $99 then, so for about 8 months of coverage I paid $40. Not too shabby.

So after more back and forth with Tmobile on twitter, they seem to be pretty sure my order in store never went through. I have contacted Tmobile executive response and they have emailed me back saying that someone will be in touch to straighten it out. Am hoping that they will be able to!

Call and them and threaten to cancel your service. I'm dead serious. I went through the he same issue last night. C/S rep messed up my preorder, after I spent an hour and a half on hold waiting at 3am Saturday morning to preorder. He put in for a 6 Plus 128GB when I told him THREE times I was preordering a 6S Plus 128GB. Who would call in at 3am to order a Standard Plus model?

After I received the email showing the wrong order I called 3 times trying to be nice and explaining the situation. I got the "wait 48 hours, nothing can be done" speech until I finally got angry. I called and told them I was ready to cancel service and go to AT&T. They sent me to retentions, who immediately got my order cancelled and set me up with a new order within 15 minutes

I might have to do that. I am not happy about them doing an EIP *standard* order when I wanted a JOD....I am going to loose my place in line, and now not get the phone on launch day that I wanted...BUT she did say I can get the 128GB phone for the 16GB monthly price and nothing up front. That ends tomorrow am apparently.
