Basically, I got my order put in wrong. I'm a original JUMP! customer,(when they pay for whatever balance you have on your EIP). I wanted to switch to the JoD because I like to switch every year and I don't mind trading in my device. When I called on the 12th a few minutes before midnight, I told the lady I wanted to switch to the JoD from my regular JUMP! but they still did an regular JUMP! upgrade with a new EIP instead of the Lease. Now I'm stuck with the debate of cancelling my current order, of wait until the order ships and return it with buyers remorse clause and place the correct order with an lease instead of an EIP.

Here is my order status as of now under Alerts on my account page, since that's what we are talking about.

Lower monthly payments... 3 upgrades if I want to, and I don't really care to own the phone, since I like to swtich every year.
So with jump on demand you can upgrade whenever, as long as the phone is half paid correct? And with regular jump, there's no set amount, but you only can jump twice a year.

With regular Jump the phone has to be half paid off and you pay $10 a year to be in the program. With Jump on Demand you can upgrade 3 times a year, even three days in a row if you were so inclined. There's also no $10 fee, but regular Jump includes insurance, JOD does not.

Aww I see. So really no difference for me, and can confirm jump doesn't require the phone to be paid in full. Thanks for answering so quickly though.

Yes with Jump you only have to pay off half the device to upgrade. With JOD you dont have to pay off any of the device, but you do have to buy out the phone at the end if you want to keep it.

FYI since my new order was placed last night (in the wee hours of today actually) to correct my phone, I tweeted art_legero of the executive response team (on the recommendation of someone on this board) to check on my place in line. He did tell me that the new order should've replaced the old one in line, and my spot should be fine, but when I expressed concern because of the date and the new order number, he still said it should be okay but had me DM him my information so he could have his team check it out and call me back. this was a minute ago, he's very nice! I hope they call me soon.

What are people seeing under Order Status today? This is what mine shows as of this morning.

Slightly concerned because it doesn't show the name of the phone I ordered or any other information ...

Which I'm happy about, but when I click the link elsewhere in this thread..the T-Mobile check your order link, I get nada. Odd.

Just out of curiosity, why switch to jump on demand vs the regular jump?

I considered switching. It's a bit cheaper because you don't pay $10 a month for the ability to upgrade often, and you don't have to have a portion of the phone paid off first. You also don't pay the full taxes upfront when you order (because there's no expectation that you'll ever fully buy the phone).

But because it's a lease program, if you upgrade often it kind of keeps you tied to Tmobile in that, once you upgrade, your 18 months term starts over, you never really ever make progress towards paying anything off unless you keep the phone for the full term of the lease. If this isn't important to you, it's not really a drawback though. For the iphone in particular, if you use the promotional deal, I imagine you can game this deal to effectively pay the remaining cost of the phone off after 18 months (if you don't plan on getting the 7) and have only spent ~$600 total.

It doesn't feature any sort of handset protection at all, either, so if you lose, or damage your phone, or it gets stolen, you're SOL and you still have committed to make payments for 18 months that you're stuck paying even if you don't have the phone anymore. The thing that mitigates this is, you have the option of buying insurance separately which is only $8 a month, not $10. So you could potentially save 2 bucks a month going to JoD, while keeping the same benefits.

There's no reason not to do JOD. You can pay off your phone in full anytime you want and make it your own. Also, with introductory JOD pricing (probably won't last much longer), you save $125 off the cost of the iPhone if you were to pay full price.

Exactly. With the promo pricing for JOD right now, Jump seems like a bad deal, even if you pay the $8 a month for the insurance.

I wonder if the JoD switch phones three times a year takes into account that half of us who ordered on the phone will probably get the wrong phones...
I was actually worried I told them 6S rather than 6S+ in my half awake stupor on Friday night. My plan was just to upgrade to the 6S+ when they were available on shelves.

My only issue would be the fact that I just bought the galaxy s6 edge plus, and I owe like 700+ and already switching lol. I'd have to pay that first before JOD, right?

I imagine you'd have to pay it off before entering either program.

Thanks everyone for posting. I ordered around 4:30 AM on 9/12 but as of this morning hadn't received any confirmation or EIP. It was a new account setup as I'm switching from AT&T and I did at 16 gb silver 6s JoD. The CSR said wait 24-48 hours, so I waited.

I called this morning to check on the order. The CSR said the person who took the order the other night did not complete the order properly and a "special team" would be working on resolving incomplete orders tomorrow, 9/15. She scheduled them to call me at 8:00 AM ET tomorrow to complete the order. She added that my original order date/time would still be valid so I won't lose my place in line. So hopefully they're working through some of the orders that weren't processed properly. If you're not seeing any evidence of the order or didn't receive a confirmation, I'd definitely call just to check. Everyone has been very nice, though, so I'm not really all that bothered. It's a new phone, I can't get too upset about it.

Can you buy Apple Care Plus for a JoD device? Would this cause problems with bringing back a different phone than you were given?
I was told it might cause issues when I signed up back in June, but I could tell the rep wasn't really sure with the program having launched that day. Others have since said it isn't an issue and you can give them the new IMEI. I plan on dropping T-Mobile insurance when I get the 6S+ and switching to AC+, but I also plan on buying out the phone before the 7 is released.

Same thing happened to me but my original order was "voided" and the rep said at this point you have no order so she placed a new order and said I'd keep my place in line. I don't believe that i'll keep my place in line though but here's to hoping. She said nothing about them cleaning up orders tomorrow. They also had my voided order completely incorrect.

This is exactly what happened to me. Although I wanted the lower monthly price point that came with JoD, I'm not gonna pitch an entire fit if it can't be easily fixed without A) messing up my order and B) losing my spot in line.

What's worse, though, is I was told by both the store and corporate that I can't do JoD unless my current phone is paid off, but that is NOT what's happening to other people. Others I know with balances on their phones have been able to go from Jump to JoD with no issue. I have them looking into it.
