My order status changed!

So has anybody gotten a shipping estimate yet? Do they text you or email you? I have been checking the order status page but it just says we will provide a shipping estimate soon (paraphrasing)

Here's some good advice for everyone. Thanks to the many forum members that have posted these ideas before.

Here's the best and fastest way to know when you're new iPhone ships:

1) Go online to your credit card account and setup an email or text alert for any transaction that exceed a threshold that is just below what T-Mobile will be charging you. For example, if T-Mobile will be charging you $106 for a $99 downpayment and $7 in tax, then set an alert threshold for $104. T-Mobile will charge your credit card once they have your phone in-hand and they are preparing to ship it. You can easily cancel this alert setting after you get your phone. All it takes is a few clicks and then you'll know when your iPhone is truly preparing for shipment.

2) T-Mobile uses UPS the majority of the time. If you don't have one, setup a free UPS MyChoice account and UPS will send you an alert the moment a shipping label is created with your address. This is absolutely the fastest way to know that a package is being sent to you. You can also use UPS MyChoice to sometimes divert packages, leave special instructions for the driver, etc.

Perform these two easy steps now and it will take most, if not all of the guessing away.

Thanks for the reply. I think I have almost at least 10 attempts on my one order alone too which is probably not helping the situation. I am supposed to get a call back tomorrow to reattempt, but I am not optimistic. I may just go to the T-Mobile store to complete the last order if it fails again.

Go to the store. The total will ring out $0 and no credit card needed. Problem solved. Cheers!

Soooo, the Executive Response Team or whatever they're called just gave me a call.

They placed an order for me over the phone since my initial order from the 12th apparently disappeared into the ether.

They placed an order for the current 64 GB 6 Plus. NOT the 6S Plus.

You can't make this stuff up.

Oh, and he said all 6S+ orders are looking at 2 week delays. Then again, this is the guy who ordered me a phone that came out a year ago, so take that with a grain of salt.

Yeah, they don't know till they open those boxes. Last year everyone was freaking out that the gold was gonna be months behind. Then said the space grey was so over-ordered people wouldn't get it either... so depends on what apple is making and how fast. I'd actually assume the R.Gold has quite a few in number considering apple made it new to debut it this launch, and it matches people's watches. But then again maybe they want it to be super exclusive to cause a stir.

Hopefully someone can help me:

Preordered on preorder launch night with a jump upgrade. Discovered a 1/4" ding/crack on my current device. I've spoken to 3 t-mobile reps now who have all said something different.

The first said that I have to file an insurance claim ($175), the second said that I ship in the phone when I get my new one and I will have to continue to pay off the old device on top of the EIP for my new one. The third person who I just spoke to said that I can just send it in and they will pay off the rest of the device like normal.

Has anyone had similar experience? or can shed some light on this

Return it directly to the store when you get the upgrade phone. They'll charge you $175 but you won't keep paying for the phone.

Did you take it in to a tmobile store to have them look it over? they might have a better idea if they're looking at it whether it'll be acceptable to trade in. If it's not, your only recourse is to pay the $175.

Last year they found a crack on my 5s that was NOT there when I sent it in, and it was a mess. If the phone is damaged when they get it, you have no recourse other than to pay the deductible, or continue pay the phone off (they won't even send it back to you!), and it's not T mobile you deal with, it's Assurant Solutions, so the tmo CS reps can only do so much. In my case it turned out they were looking at a phone that wasn't even mine. SMH This year when I brought it up they told me to take my 6 to the store, have them inspect it and note on my account that it's in good condition before I send it to them. I'm going to to try to just leave it at the store, but for some reason on the phone they told me I couldn't do that for JUMP, it had to be by mail. We'll see.

Important question for you all: does T-Mobile require signatures when they deliver the phones? As a teacher, that would be most inconvenient for me...

Okay, 3+ days later, my order for my 2nd phone is finalized. The same Executive Team guy I initially spoke to called me back a few minutes later, manually cancelled the 6 Plus order and put in the correct 6S Plus order.

Checked the e-docs and everything was on point.

FINALLY.

I pre-ordered 2 rose gold iPhone 6s+ 16GB On Saturday morning, 10 am, when store opened. Got EIP, order conformation, within an hour. Hopefully I get it on release day, last year I got my 16gb gold 6 the day after release day even though I pre ordered it on a Sunday afternoon, 24+ hours after they started taking orders.

My UPS person just leaves my packages on my porch, I don't ever need to sign anything

just signed up for UPS my choice. thanks for the info!
I don't remember which credit card it was on nor what the down payment is for that 64gb.. the EIP contract is pretty messed up for me

Since I had not received my eiv yet after ordering in-store on the 12th, I finally called today. My order had not gone through. It took a very long time to get through - they were unfamiliar with the promo, then said the promo only applied to the 16gb version, then finally got it to go through, adding notes to my file apparently. The order was back-dated to the 12th.

At the store I was told that I did not have to turn in my old phone. The guy on the phone said I did. That's fine, because apparently my $100 off-contract LG L90 qualifies. He said ANY working, non-cracked smartphone qualifies. So, presumably someone could pick up one of the cheap Lumia's and trade that in if they really wanted to.

Thanks, that's usually how it is for me, unless it's Apple sending stuff. T-Mobile just told me on Twitter that they don't usually require it, it's up to UPS apparently.

You can waive the need for a signature in the UPS app itself. Not sure I'd want to do that with an iPhone, but works for many.

also if you have a UPS hub or main office nearby, you can have them hold it for you
