also if you have a UPS hub or main office nearby, you can have them hold it for you

^ this but you should call like earlier that week and tell them to hold all packages etc. If you do it closer to the actual delivery date they get really salty about it and sometimes will refuse to do it or say its already loaded for delivery. I remember last year people having some run-ins with that ****.

Thanks, that's usually how it is for me, unless it's Apple sending stuff. T-Mobile just told me on Twitter that they don't usually require it, it's up to UPS apparently.

Yeah, going forward we will be hearing a lot of "that's not us that's Apple!" or "that's not us that's UPS" from ALL the carriers. Bet money on it.

Don’t believe them. It’s all up to Tmobile and they don’t require it. T-Mobile has a knack for deflecting policy and procedure to others.

Ah. Well, I suppose my wife will be home that day - taking a couple months off with the new child. An unexpected benefit.

Summary of my headache:

-Ordered on phone at 12 midnight day of preorder. Was told to wait 24-48 hours for email.

-After 48 hours no email. Called CS, said my 12 midnight ordered was voided by accident.

-Placed a new order yesterday morning. Was assured my place in line would be held.

-Contacted tmobilehelp on twitter. Told I have no original place since they couldn't locate the order despite the last rep saying she found it voided.

-Told me they have no say in when I get it. I'll get it when the shipment comes in and my order comes up. Keeps avoiding the question when I bring up my original order #. I have the exact #.

Incredibly disappointed. :(

Did you see anywhere at T-Mobile where you could sign beforehand? Like Apple does?

This hasn't been my experience though...I had to sign when I ordered from Apple store or ATT, but my last two phones from tmobile I didn't have to sign for.

Finally got the contract. Did anyone say the downpayment will be waived but the monthly bill just go up instead? I was promised a $100 credit, but I guess don't much faith in the TMO CS after the past few days....

I am getting 2 devices separately. 1 from Apple, 1 from T-Mobile Jump-on-demand:

Order from Apple:
Processing Items - Delivers: 9/25 by Standard Shipping

Order from T-Mobile:
Item: Apple iPhone 6s Plus - Gold - 128GB
Status: Your order is confirmed. We will send a shipping estimate soon.

Let's see if Apple 6s come first or T-Mobile's 6s+ come first.

I'd say one thing is for certain. You will get Apple's on the 25th. The T-Mobile one could come anytime between 9/25 and 11/1 I'd say. lol

Hopefully someone can help me:

Preordered on preorder launch night with a jump upgrade. Discovered a 1/4" ding/crack on my current device. I've spoken to 3 t-mobile reps now who have all said something different.

The first said that I have to file an insurance claim ($175), the second said that I ship in the phone when I get my new one and I will have to continue to pay off the old device on top of the EIP for my new one. The third person who I just spoke to said that I can just send it in and they will pay off the rest of the device like normal.

Has anyone had similar experience? or can shed some light on this

Continue the conversation with the 3rd person there.

I did the same thing. I first ordered mine and my wife's on Apple.com then called in to T-Mobile to order from there as well.

I would like to keep the phones from T-Mobile for the discount but if they don't come through i'll keep the Apple order. At least I know I will receive two phones on the 25th.

I just spoke with Cesar in the Executive Response team (Office of the President). I emailed John Legere and this guy called me.

Anyway, he confirmed that the order I put in yesterday was good to go. He said he would personally prioritize my order (whatever that means) and that I would be one of the first to receive my new phones.

We'll see. He said worst case scenario, the phones ship on Friday, 9/25 and we receive them next business day (Monday the 28th).

He sounded sincere so I'm cautiously optimistic.

That's what happen to me last year, I ended up getting my phone Monday. Cool you were able to speak with him.

The whole pre-ordering from T-Mo was really confusing. I decided to do the Jump on Demand from just having a normal account. The website said to call the number or go to a store. I tried the number on Saturday and the guy said they couldn't do Jump on Demand signups over the phone despite what the website said. I also couldn't do it online so I went to the T-Mo store. After listening to the spiel to bundle accessories with my phone I finally got my 6s 128 gig Rose Gold phone ordered but the lease that came in my email had the normal lease price in the payment area, not the promotional price so that worried me. I called T-Mo again and she said the promotional discount gets taken off each month as a line item. Really hated to sign that EIP agreement without the right payment on it. There's even a place on the agreement for Promotional credits that said $0 so it really makes me nervous until I see my first bill. At least my trade-in for my 6 more than pays off my old phone and gives me a small credit on my bill.
