Can we get back to the IMPORTANT TOPIC... Rber title of thread?
"T-Mobile USA Rolling Out Software Update for Existing Unlocked iPhone Customers"

Yes, the topic title is misleading, however, because apparently T-Mobile hasn't rolled out anything yet. It would be nice if the powers that be would update the article to reflect that no update has been issued as of yet.

That would be very nice. But man, I've waited almost 6 years for this, I can wait another week...

I feel your pain as I too have waited for about 4 years. However, the article makes people like us suffer needlessly because it makes us think the update has been issued, when apparently it has not. It is like letting a kid salivate over an ice cream cone for an hour, and then acting like you are handing it to him, just to take it away at the last second and say just kidding I will give it to you sometime next week.

I am dying for visual voice mail.

lmao. i hear ya. Just try to kill time is probably the best way.

doubt it will happen today

I thought T-mobile released a note (maybe an internal email) on Friday saying that the carrier's update had postponed to 4/8/2013. It is a problem if they don't release the update today and keep postpone it over and over again. I have already lost my willingness of purchasing their iPhone 5.

They have never announced any date publicly. I don't how anyone can get upset over such a little thing. It has only been one business day since they had apparently planned on releasing it. Have a little patience. It will happen before the iPhone goes on sale Friday. That is all that matters.

Apparently they issued support documentation on Friday outlining the update, but it has since been pulled. I haven't seen T-Mobile announce any date for the update officially, but it has to be done before the official release of the iPhone 5. As a practical matter though, it seems they would apply the update before the iPhone 5 officially goes live so everybody doesn't hit the network for the update at the same time.

The update itself is only 10k so there is no issue with hammering Apple's servers. But the biggest issue could be having to activate visual voicemail on all of those accounts. Just for that alone, they need it done before Friday. Setting APN settings and enabling LTE will probably have negligible impact on the network.

It's out!

FYI Carrier now says T-Mobile 14.1 !!

Edit: Received by going to Settings>General>About
(on iPhone5)

I got the update prompt too. Not updating yet. Don't want to lose my tethering ability at the moment if Personal Hotspot is disabled.
