I had to restart mine. Maybe I wasn't patient enough.

The option still shows up, but it now pops up with "contact t-mobile to enable on your account."

The Hotspot option was next to the bluetooth option in the front page of the setting. now its in cellular data only.

Well the update won't replace the E symbol with the 4G icon. Are you in uptown manhattan?

I get 3g everywhere downtown manhattan

I got the update prompt too. Not updating yet. Don't want to lose my tethering ability at the moment if Personal Hotspot is disabled.

I've been getting good speeds here in NYC.

I think T-Mobile is still updating their HSPA+ where I live since before I wouldn't get any higher than 1.0 download and 0.02 upload.

Just got off the phone with T-Mobile.

Mobile hotspot isn't even an option with the prepaid Unlimited 4G plan. You can't even purchase the feature as an add-on. I was hoping you could tether a limited amount of data for an additional fee. Wow.

If you want mobile hotspot it's only available with the $50 or $60 prepaid plans. I'll have to sell my WiFi only iPad Mini and buy the cellular one. Use the $30 5GB plan on that and keep the Unlimited 4G.

Guess I won't be updating for now.

Are you sure? Are THEY sure? Because I am on the $30/month, unlimited everything, 100 minutes talk plan, and I still have this option in my account.
