Updated and it works so much better than the previous versions, but it isn't working as BigSur. Some movements with just one finger isn't recognized and the scroll stills bad for me.

Just upgraded to 12.1 RC. As far as I can tell:

- Tap to click, works reliably
- Three/four finger swipes, works reliably
- CMD + tap, still messed up
- Pinch to zoom, still messed up
Oh wow...I'll have to wait another 2 months for maybe a fix for pinch to zoom, a common task that I'd never though Apple would messed up. So frustrating.

Just upgraded to 12.1RC and everything (including tap to click) is working reliably for me except (and this is a major annoyance), if I rest my index finger and pinky finger on the upper right edge/corner of the trackpad as I often do, and then I try to move the cursor with my pointer finger, the cursor will sometimes work and sometimes not move at all. Forgive me as this it the first large trackpad MBP (upgraded from a 2010 MBP this week!) but I thought these giant trackpads were smart enough to know to ignore the resting fingers? Is this a bug? Anyone else experiencing this with 12.1 RC?

Well at least I might look forward to Tap to Click working reliably at some point in the near(ish) future then, fabulous! I won't go into my many other issues with Monterey here as it's outside the scope of the thread but this is without doubt the worst version of MacOS I've experienced since I switched in 2010. Monterey is far from Primetime IMO and if I wasn't on an M1 Pro I'd be rolling back to Big Sur in a heartbeat.

I'm on beta 1 and cmd+tap always works for me. I'm on the 16inch M1 Pro . Is it 16inch vs 14inch? As in the fix is different for both?

I'm using a M1 Air 2020 and the trackpad using by bluetooth still missing some gestures. The issue was 100% solved for you? Asking because I bought the Trackpad recently and I can return if it is defective. Wired it works like a charm.

Thank you I thought I was the only one. CMD + tap still messed up for me too.

I'm on the 14 M1 too.

I also upgraded to 12,1 and pinch to zoom seems way more responsive now. I can't remember if it was 100% reliable on Big Sur, but now its definitively better than 12.0.1.

From my side (MBP 2020 M1) I confirmed that 12.1 fixed the issues of both tap-to-click and cmd-tap.

I'm on MBP 14" (2021 M1 Pro). After upgrading to 12.1 CMD-Tap is still not working. After pressing CMD all taps are being ignored for exactly 3secs, afterwards all taps are working. (side fact: before upgrading the tap was not working for 5sec after CMD was pressed, so they changed something in my opinion)

PS: Could someone confirm the 3sec?
