so I know you can't preorder and pay full retail at target but will you be able to buy full retail at target when they have enough stock? maybe in october sometime?
Maybe, but why worry about that now during all this excitement if you're willing to wait till October? Wait until all this confusion passes and just go in and ask someone.
Still no email. I called the target I ordered from and he said, "for some reason our district hasn't received anything. I'm really hoping tonight or early tomorrow. But if any come, I will fulfill my preorders before I sell to Joe Shmoe off the street."
My fiend who preordered from a different target was told that they didn't know if they had arrived but that he was pretty certain she would have her phone tomorrow. He also said he would call her tonight and let her know if she should go line up or not. AAAHHHHHHH!!!

just called my target, the mobile rep said he had gotten some phones in already, a little of both 6 and 6+, and said once they're scanned in to the system, most likely tomorrow morning, it'll generate the email. I'm hoping i can snag one up, but i'll still plan on going early to verizon to see if i can score a 6+
Good luck surfer. I have a bad cold, so waiting in line is out for me. Think of all those people, because of Target, who won't get iPhones because their pre-order customers are also at a carrier store. After 48 hours those phones will be freed up, but not before a ton of eager customers are turned away.
Way to go, Target. A little more information would have prevented a lot of chaos.

what store are you at surfer? my store says they have 3 boxes of 6"s and 2 boxes of 6+ only 5 people in line so far!
Not sure what you mean by "specific" item. They're all listed on Target's website the same. Not saying I disagree with you at all, just wondering why they would overproduce a 16 gig phone that will be a brick after 2 movies and 300 songs.
But, having said that, I believe they will market this device for people who store everything on iCloud. But many apps will be severely hampered. They should have gone with 32, 64, 128 IMHO.

Could be, but then why accept pre-orders for 64 & 128 gig units? If Target followed their standard marketing plan, the 128 units would be in Electronics, the 64 gig would be in Sporting Goods, and the 16 gigs would be on pegs as you check out.
OK, yes I'm venting. So be it!
Oh, one more thing, if the emails are auto-generated by scanning in the phones, the store wouldn't have the option to send out emails on Sunday. Or, did you mean to send out the emails earlier, for pickup on Sunday?
I talked to the target cell phone rep at about 6pm EST and he said they will not have any 6+ tomorrow. They may have some next Friday. I was told like last year they will get the initial shipment then another shipment in a week. He predicted 3-4 week wait for the 6+ However every launch year I've heard the same thing so while this Target may not get 1 6+ tomorrow that doesn't mean other stores like Best Buy won't have a supply. So it seems a very your results may very situation. He said they were getting a few 6's but they were all Verizon.

It's 9:30pm here in WA. Going to bed, alarm is set for 12:30 to go line up at AT&T. Nobody in line yet as of 30 min ago. Good luck to those of you holding out for Target!

Will mobile sales be open when target opens? Or do I have to wait till their normal hours at 11? I'd like to get an update before I try my luck at other stores.
My store told me mobile would be in at 8 when the store opens instead of the usual 11. It would be my guess that it is like that across the board.
My Target Mobi guy said 8am today too. I'ts 1:51AM, I might as well just go down to ATT. But I'm sick as a dog with a sore throat and cough and my wife won't let me! I'm hearing a lot of people reporting Target won't have any 6+'s at all today. If that happens, I'm gonna unload a bucket of c**p on forums about them!

Use the target app to find availability at targets around you. Obviously a little inaccurate since we don't know pre-order numbers for each store but it's still a decent indicator of which targets received them. Searching around me nothing more than 16gb and very little if any pluses.
You saying the iPhone Target Ap is returning stores with stock? Target.com doesn't show anything!
