Target pre order?

But I may be SOL regardless. As I've said before on this thread I'm buying off contract at full retail. People on this thread told me target wouldn't sell them of contract and I called and confirmed that is true. But, I specifically mentioned to the rep at preorder that was my situation and he said okay and got me a preorder. So I'm going to play dumb and if that doesn't work raise hell and hope they have a way to it in the computers that doesn't require a new contract. Because if the guy had told me that when I preordered I would've made other plans. Dicey situation at best. But I'm holding on to hope!

they do have a way to sell it in the system. Trust me, I know. there is a DPCI for it. find out what it is, and when they enter it it will be the full cost. If they tell you no, tell them you know there's a DPCI in their storage locker they keep the phones in.
 
Called my store and they said they only got 1 6plus in and it was for Sprint. He said they wouldn't get another shipment until Monday and he didn't know what would be in it.
 
I was tenth in line at my local AT&T, got there at 1am. They only had 1 plus so I left empty handed. :( I called Target and they have nothing. He said he would personally call me if it comes in today.
 
I was 10th to preorder at my local Target (I chose iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Silver). I called the store at around noon to ask how many iPhone 6 plus's they received. He told me they are still processing the shipments and he does not know how many iPhones they have. Still holding out hope!
 
Should have just stayed at alt mall this am. Back now and they still have 64 gig plus.....but only in gold. Do I settle on the color? Wanted space grey but all my phones have been black.

No call or email from target yet.

If you're a case person just get it. If you're not I'd wait if it were me but it's obviously up to you.

Yay! No call or email from Target today. I guess I'm getting too old to be as excited as I used to be about these things. I've been to Apple.com several times and hovered over the purchase button a few times but never committed as I'm not sure how the purchase will affect my plan. I'l just wait for Target to come through and if they don't, in a couple of weeks I'll hit the Apple Store or ATT and let them walk me through it. I've got three iPhones on my shared plan (hosed my grandfathered in unlimited plan :)) and pay $142/month for 10GBs of data and unlimited text and talk. I just want to make sure I don't lose my wife's county discount.
 
It depends on the store. All we got in today were the Tech21 cases (which I actually like) and the Zagg screen protectors. Most stores should have set the revision that these cases (and others) are on.
 
I went to target this morning at 9 EST and i saw a big pile of shiny new iPhone 6's and 6 plus's... unfortunately most of them were Verizon and 16gb... I preordered a 64gb ATT 6 plus and it wasn't in yet, but they said they should be getting another shipment tonight so I still have a little bit of hope left..
 
I stopped by the Target where I pre-ordered and they said the phone shipment hasnt arrived yet. He did say they are getting 8 phones in the first shipment but couldnt tell me what was in that shipment. Oh well. Took a shot this year and didnt expect it.

Yea thats what they have been saying every single day. "We are getting a shipment today",Then it goes to tomorrow then the next day.
 
real talk tho, whats the point of offering Preorders to everyone if they can't even commit? Not just talking about Target, but just about all the other retailers out there..

Its all a marketing scheme. Buy a 25 dollar gift card and we hd a phone for you. We basically spent 25 dollars at Target for nothing

Call Target at 1-800-440-0680 to complain vociferously! I encourage all you disappointed people to do that. My Target store got none in. The Radio Shack next door fill all their preorders. I saw happy people walking out with pluses. What they did is really dishonest, as I don't think they ever had any intention of making their customers happy on launch day. The reason is Marketsource (Target's mobile provider) didn't want to hire extra people for launch day...they're just cheap. They probably told Target that would cost them extra labor, so Target told them to not have phones on launch day. Crap like this doesn't happen accidentally--it was planned this way. Walmart got phones, Best Buy did too. Target stands out as the company that takes your money, makes promises, and doesn't deliver. Make the call if you agree, and were left with no options on launch day.

Where are you based from? I've called RadioShacks in my local city and they haven't even got their shipments in yet as of 9-10AM pacific.

Same. I was 19th in line at my AT&T Store and got their last Plus, but had to "settle" for a silver 16GB. Wanted a higher-capacity space gray but I can't complain.

Still waiting for something from Target, but my gut tells me it's never going to come.

I had the option of getting a 16gb plus. I'm kicking myself over and over that I didn't get it. The only reason I didn't take it is Costco was saying they had hands on 6 plus models for ATT. Yea get there after ATT and they had none. There was a miscommunication they said. Yea don't tell people you have "hands on" your inventory if you don't have anything! Today was just a very bad day all together.

I can't blame the target mobile guys,there only telling us what they have been told. They showed me the email they got, target as a corporation screwed it up badly. They took preorders for units they didn't have.

Fyi a lot of stores are only holding the preorders for 1 business day now due to the high demand.
 
Yea, I ended up going to the Apple Store. As i said, the moment Target didn't want the entire phone to be paid....it was all a joke. I'm sure I'll get a email in November.
 
My target guy just guaranteed me att pluses would be in tomorrow. GUARANTEED. My breath is officially held. Lol.
 
Went to a Best Buy just now. They were loaded with iPhone 6s! Absolutely crazy. Target needs to take notes.

Yeah, I'm not blaming the Target Mobile guys either, it's on Target. All of it. It's a pattern, no matter who their subcontractor is, Target still play games and the sub has to go along with it. The 5, 5S, and now the 6 launch all went badly. The only common denominator is Target itself. Very dishonest to take orders for phones they didn't have.

Surfer, you probably did yourself a favor not taking the 16G, it would have been a brick after 200 songs and 2 movies. Seriously. I had my hands on two 6's 64 & 128 gig today, and almost settled. Won't fit in my pocket, etc etc. My wife texted me out of it and I'm glad.

Local target Twin Cities area that got NO phones today is saying there's a small chance of a delivery tomorrow. There's also a small chance they're not full of crap.
