Targus Slim Case

got mine today and am pretty impressed...I like the cloth/plastic like material and think the color is just about perfect - like a pair of pre-washed jeans. The pic below is to get an idea of the color - the top right is baby blue MF, the left is a navy blue shirt and the pad:

it is a blue a guy can live with - this is a very solid everyday case....

If you fold over the front cover, does it hold in place via magnets or clip or whatever or you need to just keep a grip on it?

I got this case from best buy today, and the on/off feature doesnt work at all. My smart cover works fine, but this case doesnt. i wonder if i got a dud

Hmmm interested in what others have to say. I picked this up at Best Buy today, too. Got the next to last one. Still waiting on my iPad delivery (could have bought one there), but that's another subject on another board. LOL

my ipad3 came with feature turned off...check that...my cover trips the switch every timr
 
mine was turned on and i have a smart cover from my ipad 2 and that works perfectly. slim case doesnt work at all, and it sucks because i love everything else about the case
 
I have the Bone White Slim Case from Targus and it does not activate the screen on the new iPad. I tried it on the iPad 2 and it worked fine.
 
The Targus slim case I got from best buy also did not shut off my new ipad when closed. iPad Cover Lock option is set to ON.

Also went to 2 BB and seems like they only had they Grey color in stock :/
 
I've got the case in blue (from Amazon) and the auto on/off feature works fine.

Could something be wrong with the BB version? Davidjacobs21 where did you buy yours? UFGatormel can you verify if the sleep feature works when you get yours in?

I got a couple hours til I get off work so I can either return or sit on it and just order an Amazon version.

Mine is from Amazon. White, and does not work.

i got my grey one from best buy but i also have a red one coming from amazon when i get home from work. Hopefully that one works

Sorry, I didn't want to take the chance of it not working so I returned it and just got an Apple Smart cover. I'm at work, the new iPad is at home. I'll get some click in case that works with the smartcover whenever they become available.

I just picked mine up from best buy. The magnets hold when it closes. But, the on/off feature isn't working.

I tested the Targus slim (for iPad 3rd generation) I just bought from best buy on my wife's iPad2. On/off works perfectly. The BB version must have the magnets in the wrong place. Targus obviously just repackages ipad2 cases.
