All these years of Samsung vs. Apple phones and it always seems to me like Samsung's ads are vaguely insulting to iPhone users. Does the strategy of being condescending to your target market really work?

It will die out soon. It’s just a trendWerd. Haven't seen one in the wild yet. Clearly they're not selling well, though that's expected at such a price.
In Samsung’s defense, their products don’t always break - sometimes they explode.Makes sense to wait until the technology actually works - and works well. Currently, foldable screens suck. The opposite of what samsung is saying is that they rush things to market that don't work right and break.
I was blown away with OLED screens, high refresh rates.Well we waited for bigger screens, high refresh rates, oled, wireless charging, NFC, to name a few.
Industrial Design team at Apple would probably reject any design with any crease.I don't notice the crease unless it's on the table and there's glare. But I don't watch things on my phone. I'm guessing videos that have dark scenes, you might notice it more?
Samsung quickly copied Face ID, it is still not as secure as iPhone, i think Samsung has options to make it more secure (but this is pain to use) when user makes it less secure then Samsung says don't use for any financial transactions.Samsung advertising is improving. While still competitor focused, at least it has a good and clearly articulated point.
Problem in putting Apple in the center of the Samsung ad is that people will be asking WHY do "we wait". And they will come up with very credible reasons.
Samsung should instead keeping the focus on the leading idea and principles that drive the customer benefits. That is way more powerful. This is what Apple does and they do not need to name competitors.
Samsung could laser focus on "putting the user on charge", "treating users like adults", "not taking control", "not trying to parent the user", "freedom".... That would be sustainable due to being orthogonal to Apple's privacy where Apple is "forced" to limit what user can do to prevent them from shooting themselves to foot.
you don't like RCS protocol ?I’d rather have iMessage than a folding phone.
Exactly, i was doing all the tinkering before i had kids and had time .I still stand by this statement, Do you want a phone that just works or do you want a phone to tinker around with - Personally I just want a set and forget approach where it works and works well. Samsung has been trying for years to do this but Apple already accomplished this task and now they are jealous and throw incoherent rhetoric at apple about this.
May be not every one want to carry a thick phone that can be used as a tablet ?See, I really don't understand this, to the point where I find it highly confusing that such an utterly simple concept can't be grasped by so many. The issue that is being solved is you can carry a tablet sized screen with the footprint of a phone, I'm baffled that you simply can't get much more basic than that premise. Just that simple fact, that I have a tablet sized screen when I need it, and a phone sized device when it needs to go in the pocket, that has IMMENSELY created a better user experience for myself.
Now if YOU (and I don't mean you in particular, just in general) don't like the technology, don't like the screen material, or don't find a use to have a larger screen in your pocket, I take no issue with that at all. It's just these continuous "solution in search of a problem" posts that I can't understand. Take the blinders off and see that there are consumers who want something different.
Very few people purchased mac pro wheels compared to flip phones for sure. The similarity between people who buy Samsungs folds and flips, and people buying a set of Mac Pro wheels. They both shout 'look at me, I’m different'.
i know one person who owns a folding phone and I don't have an ounce of envy. I hope apple never gets into folding phones.I’ve yet to actually see anyone actually owning a folding phone.
Yes, and not only Samsung. I have a feeling Tim already has his hands on a folding Apple iPhone prototype.Such a strange ad. Wait for what? Your phone to be folded, LOL? 🤣
Do folding phones still exist?
And if Apple does decide to get into folding phones, I hope you can fight the temptation to buy one and stick to your words.i know one person who owns a folding phone and I don't have an ounce of envy. I hope apple never gets into folding phones.
