1. Indeed. We're just making the right calls left, right, and center (I still prefer centre, but am getting used to Ameri-English).
2. True that most Americans aren't fans. But many Canadians are fans of their team first, and of hockey second. Once their team is done, they don't watch anymore (although many do watch). Or they don't give a flying monkey a$$.
hey, is this another shot at me? damn leaf fan!

it's been 41 years eh?

lol as I tell my leaf buddies - yes, my Habs are out and i'm sad, but "the streak" properly continues to 41 years so all is well. The habs could go 0-82, but as long as the Leafs don't win the cup (even if they have another conference finals 'doug gilmour penalty' chance), life is good and back to normal
3. No headline, but I've seen some comments about it.
4. That sucks. Try living in Southern Ontario, a region that COULD support 3 NHL teams but only has one. I'd rather have had your problem. The Isles should have more attention in your area than the Devils IMO. NJ plays such a boring brand of hockey- I would guess that their ratings aren't too high.
Sushi and drinks were good. Fun fun.
