Here's something I've not seen for a while (regarding Wednesday) as well!

Columbus is now winless in four - yet holds on to the lead in the Eastern Conference by a single point. But, almost as if to demonstrate how stupid the whole concept of conferences is, we are a massive 17 points behind Western conference leaders LA Galaxy, and would in fact be 6th in a unified table. The Western Conference has been the dominant force in MLS for the last three seasons.

This whole seaosn, Columbus has been very strong defensively but weak going forward. Now we are having problems defending. It doesn't look good for the playoffs. 😱

Yet another reason I decided to move to the East Coast: painful 6:30 am kickoffs become far more reasonable 9:30 am start times, and so on and so on.

It's worse for me; Alaska Standard is an hour behind PST, so quite a few of the live matches kick off between 5-6am. 😱

I don't have the sports package to get Fox Soccer. Might add it next year so i can watch more rangers baseball games.

Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis insists the club will not sack manager Arsene Wenger, despite their poor start to the season.

You're the guy from this thread. Actually I think you already knew that, but people here didn't. Well congrats on getting out to see a game.

Be sure to follow these tips otherwise you might look like a tourist:
  • Shout "get in the goal"
  • Complement the referee
  • Remark how nice it is to sit these days rather than standing at nasty terracing
  • Wear a big foam finger
  • Take a vuvuzela

Yep. Polar Bears, Deadliest Catch, Ice Road Truckers, Sarah Palin etc etc. It's a temporary relocation....

  • Make frequent use of the word "soccer"
  • Refer to the green grassy thing they play on as "the field"
  • Ask your neighbors if there are any timeouts
....then again, if you plan on showing up drunk, you might blend right in.

Should prolly wear a bears jersey to the match too... if he really wants to blend in...

Also when the ball goes in the net shout Touchdown!
Wear one of those caps with 2 beer can holders and straws, that will blend in well.

In order to blend in, make sure the home team's name is pronounced correctly. It's spoken as 'Full-Ham' with the emphasis on the 'Ham'. You can further endear yourself to the Fulham faithful by declaring that they're your second favourite 'soccer franchise' after Chelsea. 😉

Everyone thought De Gea would struggle against direct, physical, aerial Stoke, but he was MOTM yesterday. Some fantastic saves and really grew in confidence dealing with crosses into the box. Sadly Crouch made a fantastic run to beat Jones and Rio and De Gea couldn't do anything about it.

Terrible officiating. A handball in the box turned into an offside call!? Chicharito wasn't fouled?! Oh well, have to give credit to Stoke who played a fantastic second half.

All the injuries for United are getting worrying.

impressive performance from him indeed, i hope he can keep his legs together for the manchester city - fc bayern game

both teams seem to be in great shape currently ( MC: +14 goal difference, FCB: +20, 6 games without conceding)
