2-0 Panthers down the Bs. Intense game, felt like a playoff game. In years past, the Panthers would have never been up for a game like this, but I thought they held their own against the Bs. Look forward to seeing these two teams play for years to come in the new division, and maybe some time in late April would be nice

BCE AND ROGERS ANNOUNCE JOINT ACQUISITION OF MLSE
The two biggest telecommunications companies (and rivals) in Canada have teamed up to buy the majority share of MLSE. Each get 37.5%, and Larry Tannenbaum's stake goes up to 25% from 20%. Hopefully it's a better situation than the past 17 years, when the Ontario Teacher's Pension Plan owned that majority stake.
Rogers already owns the Blue Jays.
Also, BCE (Bell) will continue to own its 18% minority stake in the Montreal Canadiens. That's just weird.

I didn't get to watch it cause I was working but I heard it was good. Bs hit like 5 posts.. ugh. Its alright though, one game isn't a big deal.
Kaberle got traded to the Habs from the Canes. WTH happened to this guy? He's only got 9 assists this season and is a -12. He's even been a healthy scratch.
Hopefully (for him), being back in a hockey crazy city will motivate him to improve. If he couldn't play well for Maurice (who also coached him when Maurice was the Leafs head coach, and Kaberle was at his best back then), then I have to wonder if he could ever play well again.

Back from my trip and can start reading this thread again
Panther's looked good and Bruins offense basically disappeared. 5 posts are certainly frustrating but everyone is shooting at the same sized goal and only the ones that go in count. Liked Dineen as a player in the 80's, like him as coach now but he will need some more depth to survive the long season IMO.
I'm not even sure what to say here. It's clear the 4M+ that he is getting is too high. Maybe MTL can fix him but I don't have high hopes. Corvo has been a significant upgrade to play the same position for far less money those his numbers are just starting to ramp up. (0-10=10 +5)
It's funny. I'm glad we got Corvo for 2 million and change instead of Kabs for 4+, and Corvo has definitely been better than Kabs was, but Corvo still SUCKS. He is the worst defenseman on the team for defense, and he hasn't been that great on offense either. Bs need to look for a left-shot bottom pairing dman by the trade deadline so they can pair Chara and Seids together for the playoffs again.
Yeah, I don't completely agree. Fortunately he put two in the net last night to help my argument A LITTLE. He will fit in.
Game was a bit of a battle -- lots of undisciplined penalties, no flow. Timmy gets yanked... yikes.

it is definitely possible but they don't fit "the look" of the Bahston people... at least the ones that say it like that! Plus the real Bruins fans were drunk and passed out already

Looks like the guy taking a swig out of the flask is just about to pass out......or just about to barf on the person in front of him.
A couple of things:
Looks like Crosby is going to be out for a while. I can really see him having to retire soon. Crappy.
There are rumblings that Terry Murray is on the way out here in Los Angeles. There are also rumors that Mr. Richards isn't a good fit in the LA dressing room either.

Talked to Chara while walking through the North End last night while I was looking for a referenced pizza place and ended up at Mike's instead
He was cool. Said his knee wasn't too bad though I read reports this AM saying that he wasn't playing tonight. He was walking just fine.

Good to hear. Probably just a sprain or something. Reports said he's probably out tonight but day-to-day after that.
Hope he takes it safe anyways... we can afford to not have Chara for a few games in December. We can't afford to not have Chara in the spring. Get healthy now.
