Really? It's silly string. Zioxide, you and that guy take the game WAY too seriously. I mean honestly, are Bruins fans supposed to be all serious all the time? Chill out, have some fun. Every time you post here you seem to be angry about something- some ref made a call you didn't agree with, so and so played like crap, etc. Hockey is supposed to fun, man. So relax.

You won't get me to disagree with that, he didn't need to push the guy. But the guy should be able to sit and enjoy a hockey game without getting sprayed with crap. The mascot was out of line too.
 
I've been to multiple Bolts and Rays games - usually the person just laughs it off... and it's a big joke to the people in the surrounding seats. I've seen a few irritated people, but nobody ever tried to get physical with the mascot lol. I'd love to hear the tall tale he told his boys about why he left the game early. Tough guy pushed a mascot haha.

People who get upset over silly string are the ones who ruin the fun for everybody. I can't stand uptight people like that. It's fun- have a good time!

It's just really funny (and sad) to me that pushing the mascot seemed like the best option. And doing so from behind as it was walking away - that's a tough guy right there.

It's like getting upset if confetti was flying through the air at a game. It's the same thing. Silly string is dry, harmless and doesn't get stuck on your clothes or anything.

But apparently, Bruins fans are VERY sensitive.

BTW- zioxide, the mascot was in no way out of line. This goes on at the games all the time and is no big deal. The mascot was doing his job. God forbid this guy ever goes to a Blue Man Group show.

Water is harmless and doesn't get ruin your clothes either but I doubt you would like it if you were sitting at a game and a mascot came up and dumped a bucket of water on your head.

It doesn't matter if it's harmless or not, the stupid mascot has no right to just go and spray down some guy with silly string. It's perfectly reasonable to want to go to a game and relax and not have some douche wearing a fuzzy suit spraying you with crap.

I've been to a lot of pro sports events and I have never once seen this crap. The show is supposed to be on the ice, not in the stands.

zioxide is just one Bruins fan, he doesn't represent all of us. I wouldn't use anything he says/does as evidence of something all Bruins fans do/think/believe.

Same with that one fan in the stands. I've been hit with batteries at Yankees games, and once had a stupid thug spill beer on me at a Kings game. I wouldn't say every fan of those teams are ******s or whatever else. There are all kinds.

Cranky people like that piss me off. It's just silly and say a lot about them. I know you're not like zioxide. :)

And zioxide- water is hardly the same as silly string- water can damage things such as cell phones. Good lord, man- you are really wound up tight. The show is everywhere- in the stands and on the ice or else their wouldn't be things like the kiss cam. Get over it- you're being ridiculous.

You're clouding the issue. This 'attack' is sponsored by the home team, not some drunken fan.

Some people have a comfort zone, and you better not step over that line.

You think he asked to be the butt of the laughing around him? I doubt it.

Spray your own fans, if they seem to like it so much.

I was talking about lee's reaction in calling all Bruins fans sensitive and serious based on a small sample, not about the silly string incident.

Leafs played well last night, and easily defeated the Wild. WTF happened to that team? Remember when they were in first place? Yeah, not so much anymore. It was a good move to split up Kessel and Lupul. Kessel had a goal, and Lupul had 3 assists. Gustavsson almost got the shutout to boot.

Leafs vs. Habs tomorrow night. Always a fun game to watch.

It doesn't matter if its the canucks, canadiens, a soccer game in london, or a polo game in india, you should be able to go watch a game without being sprayed with that crap like it's a kindergarden recess yard.

Zioxide- the entire time I've read your posts in this thread, all they consist of is you bitching about supposed "bad" penalty calls on the Bruins for things that are obvious cheap shots, but when the reverse happens, you couldn't care less, because apparently, the Bruins can never do any wrong.

Again, going to a hockey game is supposed to be fun. Mascots and such doing things like this that they do all the time, not just to Bruins fans or anything like that, is part of the fun!

Get over yourself, stop defending that idiot fan, and relax. The fan was WRONG, way wrong! He was a wimp, to boot. The mascot was doing his job like he always does. No doubt this guy was not the only person who got some silly string at this game. Utterly sad fan behavior. Own it.

That's what I find so curious- you're very concerned about the mascot, but the fan? Hardly worth mentioning.
 
word on the street is that super tough guy andrew ference has been suspended 721,104 games for bumping ryan mcdonough at high speed, but nobody cares because today is all about football :p

seriously though. it wasn't an intentionally dirty hit, but it's a play that's definitely reckless, unsafe, and one type of play that needs to be taken out of the game. no word on the actual length of suspension yet.

i find it quite funny that there is an outrage over this hit, but not even a peep about Prust boarding Chara. Ference's play was definitely not good, but he definitely wasn't trying to hurt him. Not sure about Prust on Chara, looked like there could have been some malicious intent there.
