The Marlies are in the playoffs. And they finished first in their division and second in their conference.
This is certainly good chat, but Marlies are mostly from Ontario, and we all know how Burkie feels about Ontario players.

well the Raptors are no good, so only Lacrosse (which I do go to a few games a year and a playoff game), Baseball, and the Marlies.

I actually think it was because Weber only got a 2 min penalty- its not an excuse for the slap on the wrist rather an interpretation. Bitz did get a major for the play-and at a closer look Bitz did have time to change direction. Kings are also saying he had an injury
Personally-i would have given him and Bitz both two games
Honestly, the guy sort of half turned into the Bitz hit. If he kept turning, it would've been a side hit.
If Bitz gets 2, I think practically Weber deserves 1. The NHL would never sit the best defenseman in the league for 2 playoff games.

Last year my favorite sign was with a guy in a Leafs shirt that said:
"I'm from Toronto and I came here to see what the playoffs were like"
I looked for him last night but didn't see him. I might have to bring the sign on Saturday

Last night we did see an incredibly attractive woman walk by when we were in the beer line. Some guys asked her for a picture which I found strange -- why would they ask some random girl for a pic... well, she wasn't a random evidently.
Ciara Price, Miss November 2011, and apparently Seguin's new girlfriend (or something).
I hope she doesn't keep the boy up too late -- he needs his energy. He can call her at the end of June.

I dunno....I think it would be better if he added the best players available. Who cares where they're from. How is saying the Leafs need to start signing Ontario born players over other non-Ontario players any different than Habs fans saying that they need to hire/sign a French-speaking coach or players?

Your right but it would be nice to cheer for a local sometimes. It is more of a joke than a thing we need to better the Leafs (although quite a few stars do come from Ontario, Jeff Skinner to name one), I just hope I can go to a Leafs playoff game next season

AT&T sucks ass in that building. It is horrendous and the fact that they sponsor the playoffs and other stuff makes it that much worse.
The Philly/Pitt game is pretty crazy. The Flyers just won't quit. Should be an interesting ending....
Impressive response from Florida, but they fell just short. Probably the story for the series, unless they can even the series up at home.
Solid win by the Wings tonight. They really showed 5-on-5 that they were the better team. That 5-on-3 kill in the 2nd was big. Time to protect home ice at the Joe with the best home record in hockey.
Philly's drive and desire is just incredible. I mean everyone is pulling hard in the playoffs, but something about their ability to constantly fight to get back into games is fantastic to watch.
With that said, no one team in the playoffs is as potent as Pittsburgh, so they can easily claw back into this series. However, they need to win a dang game at home for once against Philly (ever).
