So the Yankees have roughly 2 1/2 weeks to work out that deal for Lester. 😛
Latest rumor I heard on twitter from Buster Olney has the Red Sox trading Lester to the Yankees for the right field bat boy, 2 cases of fenway franks, and a monthly NY subway pass for Bobby V for when he gets fired and moves to New York.
😉
Youkilis seems to be lighting it up in Chicago as well.😉
I heard Rivera was lighting it up in Panama... lighting up cigars anyways, cause he sure as hell isn't pitching any time soon.
😛
I think that's just the nature of sports for some people, not everyone is a diehard willing to take the lumps. It's a disease. 😀 That said, I think it happens with every team in every single sport. I will openly admit I'm not as huge a Bruins fan as I am a Red Sox/Celtics/Patriots fan. But did I celebrate and enjoy watching the Bruins win the cup? Hell yes, that's my hometown.
I'm the same way except different teams. Die hard Bruins and Pats, and I'll casually follow and occasionally watch the Red Sox and Celtics.
Now that I've braved our hellish first half, I think we've got a run in us. Ellsbury and Crawford (until he blows out his elbow) are back. Maybe Daniel Bard will remember how to throw a baseball, Josh Beckett will stop sucking, and then - watch out, mofos! 😎
Ellsbury and Middlebrooks are back tonight. We need to get Pedroia back and have everyone else stay healthy. Forget about Crawford, I doubt he even plays 15 games this year. Worst free agent signing ever. And who knows about Bard.
That said, if Ellsbury, Papi, Gonzo, Pedroia, and WMB all have good 2nd halfs and Lester/Beckett/Buchholz can at least kind of figure their **** out, they have a decent chance at the wild card.
I'm strongly against trading Lester, but if you get a good offer for Beckett at the deadline, take it and run.
