lol, Carlos Beltran has more home runs and RBIs tonight than Pujols has had all season and it's only the 4th inning. How's that $250 million 10 year contract working out for you Anaheim?
All the other injuries can be dealt with, if Rivera goes down all hell will break lose. You have got to be f@*%ing kidding me with these Yankee injuries.

Initial report is twisted right knee, lets hope thats all it is.
Ya the breaking news bullatin made me sick to my stomach.I read somewhere that someone described it as the Derrick Rose situation and I ***** my pants.
Looks like he just landed wrong and twisted the leg/knee. I don't expect anything major maybe a stint on the 15 day DL, but then again at Mo's age who knows what could come out of this. I am not so much worried about who will take over for Mo during his absence thanks to Robertson being so dominant. It puts Soriano in for the 8th, but who else will create the bridge to D-Rob?

Pettitte might start next weekend.Hughes may be an option if Phelps performs well in the rotation...though his last start was probably his best of the year. And I assume it would also depend on when Pettitte returns.
Damn. Will this mean will he come back for one more season? Or was his last game his last game? We will miss you Mo. Thanks for everything you have done for the team.... Sucks you last season had to end like this.![]()
I can't imagine he would want to go out like this...
Such a class act and an amazing Yankee. Hopefully he gets well soon.
The handing of the baton is going to happen (maybe temporarily) sooner than we thought - if anyone is up to the task D-Rob is.
He didn't hurt his arm. But, what if he comes back next year and he sucks balls...... Wouldn't want to go out like that either.
ESPN.com said:The 42-year-old right-hander was carted off the field after twisting his right knee shagging flyballs during batting practice Thursday night before the Yankees played the Kansas City Royals.
Rivera, who regularly catches balls during batting practice as a way to keep in shape, fell to the warning track. His face was contorted in obvious pain, and he was rubbing his right knee with his right hand.

I know, but his talent has to fade away sometime....
Jack Curry seems to think Mo would come back next year to go out on top and I agree. He was just getting into a groove this year - as he has done every year. It's just how long and how much work it will take to come back - he's not 25 any more.

Mariano Rivera, head bowed and teary-eyed, says he does not know if he will pitch again.
