A-Rod's reaction, however, is priceless.

I wouldn't say priceless, but it says it all.

How about them Phillies? Intentionally hitting batters to welcome them to the major leagues.....

Stay classy Hamels.....

I love that he did that. Old school. I wish the Dodgers would've done that when he made his debut in LA.

Hamels shouldn't have said he did it with intent. He should've said, "The pitch got away from me." or something to that effect.

Hamel's isn't an old school type of person. He is just using it as an excuse.

I give him credit for saying it was intentional though. Doesn't hide behind the whole it got away from me BS. But, he shouldn't have thrown at him. There is a reason why it's called old school. It normally isn't done anymore and it shouldn't be done.

Bryce Harper had the last laugh - nothing like stealing home to let Hamels know it was a bad decision. Lucky for the Phillies that they won the game.

News is just coming down VIA Twitter that he's been suspended 5 games. So that takes care of that.

Not only did Harper steal home off of Hamel's pickoff attempt, in the eighth he turned a bloop single into a double.....

I know - and he may not even miss a start. But what else can be done? Next time the Nats face the Phillies, they drill someone. And that, will take care of that.

Didn't Hamels get beaned during his at bat? Baseball is usually good at policing themselves when it comes to these things.

DRob's first blown save hurts. :( Not only because he blew a save, but ended up giving up 4 runs..... Everyone has bad outings. Houdini can't escape everything.....

Let's see how he bounces back - and it's worth noting he threw 25 pitches yesterday - Let's see how he continues to perform in back to back outings. I'm betting he's putting a lot more stress in those 25 pitches in the 9th than he did in the 8th.

Our pen is still KickAss. I'm more worried about the offense.

Michael Kay had a stat that when Mo took over as closer in '97, he blew 3 out of his first 6 saves. So there's definitely some transitional period to go through, especially when you're replacing the greatest relief pitcher in baseball history.

Definitely. But, reading baseball forums and yankee blogs, it's one of those moments where I feel ashamed to be a Yankees fan. The guy gave us 27 innings of scoreless outings( dating back to last season). After a month and a half of the season, he finally have up his first runs of the season. But, his first blown save and Yankee fans are calling for his head. They would trust Soriano more than DRob. I know we have been spoiled with Mo, but come on. Give the guy some benefit of the doubt of just having a bad outing. He has certainly earned it.

Don't get me wrong giving up 4 runs hurts a lot. I am disappointed. But if Mo is human, certainly DRob is even more human as well.

Eduardo Nunez has been sent down to the minors, about a month too late honestly.

Warning: rant ahead

I am dead sick of these pathetic performances by the Red Sox. If I have to watch one more starting pitcher go 4 innings and give up 5 runs, I'm going to need a chainsaw and a trash bag. I'm really sick of Josh Beckett's douchebaggery in particular. How about you not go golfing when your start was skipped because you had tightness in your back? How about you show you care one iota about this team and it's terrible start? Be accountable and stop being a whiny punk.

I can deal with losing. It sucks, but if the team gives its all its just not enough - it happens. What I absolutely cannot stand is a bunch of overpaid, underachieving, excuse-making asshats. I hate when my team is unlikeable, and there aren't many on this team I like right now. It's not quite 2001-bad yet, but it's getting there.

The silver lining is I was trying to decide whether or not to get MLB.tv, since I'm going back to LA tomorrow. I'd rather light the money on fire.

If you're just going to burn the money, you can always give it to me. I will take great care of it. :D
