This scares me the most and its because I feel like Coker doesn't have the intelligence. 1st and 2nd down, not too worried but when 3rd down comes and good defenses dial up complex blitzes, I don't think Coker is good enough to recognize it and react accordingly. I don't mean he has to complete it but more chances than none, either he's going to throw a bad pass or get sacked for a huge loss of yards.

Luckily for Alabama, Drake is expected to miss 2-3 weeks - arm is only fractured and not broken as per early reports.

Well, Coker did throw the ball away a few times during the last game in situations where he previously would have been sacked for a loss. But I agree that he sometimes seems to panic and throw to his first intended receiver, not noticing other players who are wide open.

As for Drake, I'll just point out that "fractured" and "broken" are the same thing - the former is the preferred medical term. Among factors that affect recovery time are location and whether the fracture is comminuted (splintered) or involves the nearest joint. In this case, it sounds like Drake underwent ORIF (open reduction and internal fixation), whereby the bone or bones are reset surgically and hardware, often a plate and screws, is applied to maintain position. I hope that he does well.

Interested to see what all those criticizing Alabama and their schedule say now. First ranked team Ohio State plays and they lose. I don't want to hear that nonsense about Alabama playing a FCS school this late in the season. When you're considered an elite football program, the talent gap is so wide that it doesn't matter if you're playing the bottom of the barrel FBS school or one of the top FCS schools.

It's going to be interesting to see what the rankings are on Tuesday as we start getting closer towards the end of the season.

I agree with you but I don't agree with this statement..."the talent gap is so wide that it doesn't matter if you're playing the bottom of the barrel FBS school or one of the top FCS schools."

That is just stupid...

You think there is a significant difference between say Louisiana Monroe (FBS) and whoever is the best team in FCS? They're both "bad" but one can say they play division I-A ball and when an elite football program plays these teams, they're expecting to win and win big. So when people say well at least *Division I-A team* doesn't play FCS teams, when they have a bunch of "loser" FBS teams on the schedule, I don't even consider that a valid argument.

Can't wait for Tuesday night..was honestly hoping notre same stays number four for the Clemson rematch

I can't read :) no I agree with you. Some how I thought you said the bottom of the SEC vs. FCS :)

Reading outside forums and message boards, I find it hilarious that now that there are only two teams that are undefeated, fans from the previously undefeated teams that lost today are now saying they still believe they should be in the playoff and ahead of undefeated Iowa when just a few weeks ago, they were crying that Alabama didn't deserve to be ahead of undefeated teams. :D

True. Good thing about Iowa is that will still have to earn a playoff birth.

Im more up in arms about ND playing nobody and being so high for so long...

I'm going to assume that ND remains in the top 4 because of its history and the media loves them but I think if Iowa wins out (and that includes winning the Big 10), they should get in especially since Michigan State is supposed to jump in the rankings. So if its Iowa/Michigan State title game, winner should be in.

OU wins out? They in? I say yes

It's hard to say. I just don't know. OU might be this years Baylor/TCU where not having a conference title game might hurt them. There are just too many variables at this point to say. Assuming Clemson and Alabama remain where they are, if Iowa wins out and stays undefeated, I think they're deserving of the #3 or #4 spot. From there, it really comes down to Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Notre Dame. Do you go with the winner of OU/Okla. St, or do you go with the media darling ND?

The playoff committee's job certainly got harder after yesterday, at least at the number 3 and 4 positions. I think that Clemson will stay at the top with Alabama at #2. It's good to see that Bama is taking it one game at a time. I guess the team listened to Nick Saban's rant the other day. I hope they're not looking past the Iron Bowl, either.

And how about Ohio State's loss and Ezekiel Elliott's criticism of his coaches' play-calling? Even if he's right, saying that publicly is classless, especially with another important game to go in their regular season. That alone should put him out of Heisman contention.

#1 and 2 is going to be Clemson, Alabama (interchangeable). Regardless of who is placed in the #3 and #4 spot isn't going to matter because the remaining teams that are still in contention will be playing each other (Notre Dame being the exception). Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Michigan State, Iowa all have games against each other so you win, you're likely in.

Wouldn't be surprised if Iowa got in the top four (even though their season is a fraud).

It's interesting how quickly the Dump Les Miles movement has gathered steam. It will cost $15 to $20 million to buy him and his staff out before January 1, less after that, but still a lot of money. Pretty amazing for a coach who has the highest winning percentage among Tigers coaches with at least 25 games. LSU also has a very good recruiting class for 2016.

Frankly, it's idiotic. At least if they do it they'll be doomed to mediocrity.

You absolutely cannot win or compete for the national championship every year. That's a fact of life.

I agree with you. Who do the LSU boosters think they'll attract that will do better than Miles?
