Idk. I'm surprised anybody took A&M seriously. Historically they haven't been great. They beat Alabama with Johnny Manzel ONE TIME and all of a sudden they're ranked every year, and every year they are a fail like the year before.

If there is one thing an Alabama fan knows, it's never to take conference games lightly anymore.

I'd amend that to say: If there is one thing an Alabama fan knows, it's never to take any games lightly anymore.

As for conference games, I know that some people are looking ahead to LSU. But Tennessee this weekend is hardly a sure thing, especially since Bama hasn't played well at home this season.

Exactly, they need to focus on this game as Tennessee can sneak in and bite them in the butt if they don't watch out. I hate hearing people or teams talking about the games down the road, not the ones that are this week. One more loss and they can pretty much count themselves out for everything outside of a "who cares if we go, let alone win" bowl game.

Jeez. Why don't you make the game closer Alabama? Things were getting a bit uncomfortable there, good thing that the defense stepped up there. Rest up, put in some serious film study these next two weeks and prepare for LSU and Leonard Fournette.

And there's Utah's loss. 0 chance of playoff for them. Probably Pac-12 being shut out this year.

Zero chance? You've got a good chance of having to eat those words by season's end. If Utah and Stanford keep winning there will be two top 5-10 teams in that conference championship while the lone unbeaten (if there is one) Big12 team sits home. The ACC and Big10 may not have any unbeatens by then either. Michigan State and OSU still have to play each other and neither looks invincible at all right now.

If Baylor/TCU wins out, they're in. If Clemson wins out, they're in. If Ohio state wins out (or Michigan state beats them and wins out), they're in. 1 loss Utah/Stanford isn't going to go in over and SEC school. Just don't see it happening.

1 loss PAC 12 goes in over a 2 loss SEC team

If Baylor or TCU win out? Isn't that what they said last year?

Well after 3 hours with the sun shining on my face, I can say the cal game went as expected. Props to USC though...once they figured out they could run it was pretty much game over.

USC's run game is scary good. They're the only team that's been successful running it on the Utes this year.
