We can always rely on the Italians for a bit of light relief...Not just Lasagne....Kevin Lasagne. Kevin.
Never gets old.

How are Owls fans feeling about it?
I completely agree - in the current medical climate, why would you risk it? Especially for friendlies...Why are we even playing international football right now? Madness. (Money, actually, but, you know...)
Norway - Israel was cancelled a few hours before kickoff yesterday. I feel that was the right decision...Why are we even playing international football right now? Madness. (Money, actually, but, you know...)
I presume that won't go anywhere, but it's so silly.Norway - Israel was cancelled a few hours before kickoff yesterday. I feel that was the right decision...
Israel FA apparently didn't and are threatening to sue the Norwegian FA for €85.000![]()
100% agree!...also - how does Maguire get the captaincy of England? I don't understand it. I don't understand him being the skipper at Utd either.

Could've been worse...that game was originally scheduled to be against NZ...even less reason to play as we are ranked about 46,000th in the world (we only play when there's a world cup on).I'm sooooooo happy Gomez blew out his knee training for this. Definitely completely worth it.![]()
I've been watching the Bledisloe cup...Southern hemisphere rugby union, especially in NZ, is the BEST sport on in the world at the moment. Crowds in stadiums too!Could've been worse...that game was originally scheduled to be against NZ...even less reason to play as we are ranked about 46,000th in the world (we only play when there's a world cup on).
Yeah, there really isn't any substitute for a packed stadium and we are INCREDIBLY LUCKY to have managed COVID in the way we have.I've been watching the Bledisloe cup...Southern hemisphere rugby union, especially in NZ, is the BEST sport on in the world at the moment. Crowds in stadiums too!
Compared with that, the England - Ireland friendly was as much fun as accidentally slamming a finger in a car door...though less exciting.

A full stadium is a dream that's a long way away for many countries around the world right now.

Liverpool cannot seem to get a break.
As an Everton fan I should feel a bit schadenfreude, but I honestly just feel sad...
Watching NZ rugby right now is like having a time machine to the pre (and, hopefully, post) pandemic world. I don't hate the empty stadiums as much as some, but seeing a stadium full of people just looks and feels right.Big crowds are cool too though...
There is quite an interesting double standard we've been seeing this year. The common man travels and he is shunned for spreading the virus, then a bunch of rich sports players travel crammed together and the public overlooks it completely... Too much money involved and too many people that love sports enough to give them a free pass. Why are we even playing international football right now? Madness. (Money, actually, but, you know...)
What’s this got to do with football?Finished up the AppleTV "Long Way Up" series today.
I've been following Charlie Boorman and Ewan McGregor's motorcycle treks around the world for almost fifteen years now. And I've been thrilled that they finished up the trilogy (and it has to be watched as a trilogy) with their journey from the tip of South America to Los Angeles.
Interesting:
1) Fun to see the people involved over a decade and a half. Charlie and Ewan age, as do their cameraman, director and producer. Ewan McGregor went through a divorce a year or so before Long Way Up. Not addressed, directly, in the series. But the pain is there. Plus side, we see a face we hadn't seen since the first series, suddenly re-appearing in a much more personal role.
2) They made it much, much harder on themselves by going with electric bikes. I'm glad they did, and I think they and the producers, did us all a service by doing so.
3) A little disappointed by the last episode. They ended up putting the bikes on a bus for most of the miles through Mexico, and the electric support vehicles (Rivian) didn't even make an appearance. This was a decision based mainly on the risk posed to the expedition posed by Mexican drug cartels. Given that previously these guys had ridden through all of Africa and far-east Asia, this ought to give all of us pause about what has happened to the country immediately to our south.
Watch it if: You love travelogues, done by a couple of guys without too much deep and analytical to say, on the life on the road.
Miss it if: You don't like motorcycles.
