Care to elaborate? How do you know and how will the new notification system look?
Not at liberty to say. However, I think most people will be happy with what Apple is doing with the notification system.
Apple is very aware that this needs an update.

Yes, Apple would give end users a way to destroy the BSD jail system rendering the iPhone vulnerable to attack. Not very likely. Keep dreaming.A way to officially jailbreak it in iTunes would be awesome
A new design and a tiered range.
I want an iPhone that immediately looks new (not almost exactly like my 2G, 3G and 3GS) and also one that look obviously different/superior from all the ones bought from Tesco/on cheap contracts/with only 8GB storage etc.
I don't think the hardware changes will be radical. And they kind of have a great advantage and a great drag at the same time in the uniform resolution from model to model. So don't expect the screen to get bigger anytime soon. And the famous grid isn't going anywhere either. Although, I'd love to be proven wrong.
However, the redesign is due, and below is my take on how it would look, baring in mind their current design language. I'm just interested in whether people think they'll do that, or will stick with the current design.

1) LED notification light built into the Home button. Makes sense, right? Lock the screen and the Home Button glows green for a message, blue for an email, red for push, etc. (RAINBOW for a call?! Hahaha)
1. Not a bad idea but it does seem a little tacky.
Today Samsung announced that it has begun production of its of 3-bit, multi-level-cell (MLC) NAND flash chips using 30-nanometer process technology. The new 3-bit chips increase the efficiency by 50% over the previous generation 2-bit chips. This will lead the greater capacities in flash-based storage, with the first chips offering 8GB. Samsung notes that 16GB and 32GB will follow, and can be used in USB drives and microSD cards for devices such as mobile phones. Samsung also commenced production of its 30-nanometer, 32GB, MLC NAND memory with an asynchronous DDR (double data rate) interface. This set of chips has a much faster read rate than previous generations and can push information at 133Mbps. Samsung notes that these chips will be ideal for storing video for playback in devices such as smartphones.

Infrared? What for? u want to use ur iphone as an TV set remote control?
What? Wouldn't you use Bluetooth for that? I thought Japan was supposed to be ahead of the times. IR went out of fashion in the west with the death of PDAs like the Newton.People in Japan swap contact cards with their infrared. Might be pretty cool if everyone with an iPhone could do that.

i'm sure it would be anti-jailbreakable![]()
