What S!&* is this??? I did't get up at 3 am to receive the email of death!!! And don't give me that "there is a window" crap, people with May and June delivery dates (some who obviously ordered in the morning) are getting their watches on launch and we are getting screwed over BIG TIME!

I agree. I had my order confirmation at 12:03. At least I don't have to refresh my order page any more for updates...

I guess I'll try one more time: how does "your watch will be delivered between April 24 and May 8th" mean "your watch will not be delivered April 24"?

Explain like I'm five.

The e-mail reads like Apple wants to remind people that they flat out did not promise that ANYONE would actually get a Watch on launch day.

As I said, it's a *reasonable* assumption.

What exactly is your stake in this? Why are you flipping the ******* out over people interpreting this email in a way that you disagree with? Did you get it yourself? Are you not yet willing to face the possibility that you won't get your Watch on Friday?

I think it's logical that the large, bolded: "We're working on your order." kind of insinuates that the order isn't going to be in our hands Friday. I mean, if it was, what would they need to work on?:)

What the heck is wrong with you guys? This e-mail states NOTHING NEW about your order. It's the same date range that's in your Order Status page. I'm waiting for my e-mail and haven't got it yet. It also says to check out the videos on Guided Tours.

People, chill.

:apple:

*clings to the sane person*

Haven't even gotten the email, but the irrationality is freaky.

SS Classic Buckle at :23
Charge on card 4/20, but still pending
Haven't seen anything but "processing"
Email of possible death 11:01

It is what it is.

anyone got off with a apple rep yet? tell us their response?

also in the other post someone said

"“Just called apple, tep explained to me that everyone who gets the email is in for the second run ! There are no more watches coming in before friday's delivery ! So this is it guys were all screwed. So mich for staying up and placing an order at 12.03/12.05"

anyone can validate this?

"We're working on your order."

I got the letter as well and order placed less than 5 min after going live. I ordered three watches, but this email from apple as many got was a specific order number which is my daughters pink sports band. They have not charged me for this watch yet.

Having said that apple has charged me for the other two watches in the three I ordered and no such letter sent out on those so thinking the other two will come Friday. The other two watches were the melanese band and white band both SS

AT LEAST YOU GET IT! I'M STILL WAITING UNTIL JUNE!

/caps on purpose cos I'm screaming! In anger!

not really - I miss having it on my wrist for the 1 minute I tried it on. *sigh

I got it too. My eyes lit up until I saw what it was. :(

I don't think we should jump to conclusions here. Although the "Email of Death" strongly points to a later delivery, it isn't launch day yet. We don't know for a fact if the May and June deliveries are getting theirs on launch day.

I can see the frustration you guys have, but it isn't the 24th yet, so lets try to keep an open mind.

Wow guys, chill. Who the eff said you won't get your order on Friday because you got the e-mail? Some shmuck on the forums? Way to jump to conclusions.

I do agree though that by now we should have a more precise window. I don't like the fact I would have to wait after friday but would be over it in a few minutes if I knew what day it was coming. I live in AZ and had the watches shipped to CA since I'm going to be there this weekend, and now I'm thinking I'll be back in AZ when they finally come.

I mean apple is a big company. They have been preparing for months. Not like this is some sort of kickstarter campaign.

That's what has me so confused. This close to launch and they can't even give people who actually have had their status move from processing a more finite date on when they will receive their watch.

Maybe if they let those people know, they could put those stuck in processing's minds at ease with a more concrete window of a few days versus weeks and there would be no need to send a pointless email reminding people what they already know.

Good! It looks like if we were charged we are all set for launch day delivery! Hope that's the case at least :)

I'm beyond pissed at the people here defending Apple and telling everyone to calm down. I've used Apple products since 1992. I bleed Apple. I have a freaking launch day Newton in my desk right now, that works. I've ordered every iPhone and gotten it launch day EVERY time.

All of this could have been avoided had the Store merely said "will ship BY 5/8." We would have all been fine. The fact that they suggested 4/24 as an option, based on all our collective past experiences with launch days, means we assumed 4/24.

Quit defending this crap. "Oh it's a watch, it's special and super duper hard to make and Apple doesn't know how to make them and supply them."

The iPhone has way more moving parts and things to work out.

Got my email as well. I'm guessing this means I won't be receiving mine Friday. I got my order in at 3:05. I just find it hard to believe that supplies are this limited.
