don't see how that's possible since not one 38mm space gray has been charged here in the USA. did they really screw over all of us who got one?

What exactly is irrational about this assumption?

And it looks like a more and more rational assumption the longer we go without people reporting that they a) received the email, and b) their watch is shipping/shipped.

It's a very low stakes assumption. Why get your hopes up? More to the point, why would Apple send this email if they didn't expect a *lot* of disappointment on Friday?

Edit: I don't think that you understand what rational and irrational mean, either.
 
None here for me yet, hopefully stays that way. Got a Sport Silver/White Band at 12:05-12:06, debit card was charged, order status is preparing for shipment.
 
I just got the email also...there goes my chances of getting the 38mm SG sport watch on Friday.

Uh oh.... I got it too. I think The Bible foretold the "email of death" as the first sign of the apocalypse... Its all over now...!

Same..most upset that my dad's bday present (the SG Sport) won't get to him on time. His birthday was today but I was hoping it wouldn't be too much longer.

I'm guessing most people who received the email of death ordered the pink sport band?

Ive gotten this email during other launches and recieved my order on the launch day every time. Im not sure what people are upset about. Its weird because I was happy to get this email.
 
Say want you want but you let people get up at 3am get the order in by 3:02 and tell me I can't have it on launch day that's utter BS and I will be blowing up Apples phone.
 
Got my email as well for the 42mm SS black sports band 12:03am email confirm. See you guys on 5/8/... :(
 
I received this email also but only for one of my orders, the one that is still in processing. My other order is for 42mm SS WSB and it was charged on Monday and has shown "preparing for shipment" since then.

This is DEFIANTLY a bad sign. If you got this email odds are you won't get that order on Friday so don't get your hopes up. Im pretty pis**d over this because the one that is still processing is mine.
 
Got this for my wife's order of 38mm Sport with a pink Band. It seems this watch won't make it on Friday. Hopefully my 42mm SG which was already charged makes it as no email for that order.
 
I really hope I get this watch on launch. My card was charged and status is "Preparing for Shipment". Come on Apple give me this watch on release, that's all I'm asking! And also keep the Email of Death away from me please :D

I'm afraid that may be the case. I have been charged and have a tracking number through UPS, and I haven't gotten the email. If they had sent the emails out to everyone in the 4/24 to 5/8 group, then I would say it means nothing, but as it is it sounds like an ass-covering move.
 
Actually I was wrong two of my watches without the letter now state preparing for shipping and the one with the letter states still processing

I bet many of you will including myself will still receive the watch Friday.
