Probably only like 90 mph. I'm a wuss. And I have a Honda Civic, so that doesn't help much.

Me driving - 120 mph in my 74 Mustang.

Someone else driving, doing donuts on ice - 140 mph in my dad's '70 Ford LTD (of course, we weren't actually traveling that fast, that's what the speedometer showed)

Someone else driving straight - 160 mph, my boyfriend at the time got his hands on his friend's dad's race car (Vega!)

:D

The second time was on the 400 up here, and a Mustang was giving me a run.

I took it up to 120, 4 peeps in the car, skis on the roof, then let him go by.

I swear, as God is my judge, when he passed me, and took his foot off of the gas, I saw engine parts in the air.

I'm half surprised the thing didn't just die right after that...

But my opinion's been tainted by my parent's old 1995 Saturn (there was no other model then, it was the Saturn) - stick shift, no tape/cd, no nothing. It was as bare and basic as could be, and I wouldn't be surprised to know it couldn't get up to 110. It was also the most stolen car of 2003 because of a little flaw that made it possible to jam a screwdriver in the ignition and turn it on...

God, I miss it so much. But not enough to not like the top-of-the-line Olds Alero that I might be getting instead. :)

Oh, I should probably say something on-topic - As a driver, I've driven exactly 0 mph. ;) As a passenger, maybe 80.

What can I say, my family's not a bunch of daredevils like some of y'all.

Oh, what a difference six months can make.

I've now gotten myself up to the daredevil speed of 15 mph!

Last night, I was at the county fairgrounds getting ready for a food sale for a car show they're having this weekend, and I moved the car. I didn't even have my foot on the gas pedal, I was going all of 7 mph, and my mom was like, "Slow down! You're going way too fast!" I just gave her a confused look.

I was racing my brother in his 65 Mustang. He won, cause I got scared, and his car was way faster than mine anyway. But I'm happy to say that the car and I both were fine after the experience; the folks never found out, and since my dad built the car, it's a very good thing I didn't blow it!

redwarrior. if he re-built the engine, and it was balanced and blueprinted, you needn't have worried.

Totally different from production line stuff.

The car could handle it; I, on the other hand was not so sure of myself! lol And the '74 Mustang was the smaller version with a really light rear end. It was easy to loose control. It was still a 6 cylinder, my brother's '65 was a 289!

Somewhere upwards of 150 in an Acura NSX acting stupid, and I about died doing so when I almost tail ended an 18 wheeler, and went spinning through a grassy wet median avoiding it.

I needed a change of shorts afterwards.

A six??? Good God woman, I'm happy that your still here.

An I6, doing 115. I don't have the balls for that ****.

137mph about 10 years ago in my '89 Mustang LX 5.0.

I could have gone faster as I was still accelerating, but I literally ran out of paved road. I grew up on a farm and there were a lot of long stretches of farmland with no houses. One night a buddy of mine wanted to race me in his Nissan Maxima. Ha ha ha! :D

Obviously it was no match, but I kept going anyway to see how fast I could go, but then ran out of pavement.

Prior to that it was 120 in my '72 Ford Gran Torino. :)

i hit 120 at 6:00 am in my sisters elantra

That's absolutely frightening.

The fastest I've ever gone while in the passenger seat was about 125mph.

I was doing a ride-along with my cop-buddy and we were responding to an accident.

176 mph in an Acura NSX (on a closed track).

Although not in a car, I've 'driven' (I was still on the ground) as fast as about 205 mph on a warm day in Aspen, CO.

150 in the back seat of a camaro. 142 at the helm of a kawasaki z1 900. The next night I forgot the frame was broken and I crossed the rr tracks at 138 mph and it got squirley quick. That was over 30 yrs ago...
