Called them up and explained how some people who did not initially pick expedited shipping were able to get it at no charge from another apple rep...They waived it no questions...

Now on my order status, shipping est. is the same while the actual shipping charge of $10 is no longer there. Also apple rep. confirmed that doing this did not cancel the original order and everything would stay the same, etc...

Does anybody expect their iPhones to ship today? Obviously this question only applies to those of you who were quoted 1-3 day ship times. While the weekend would certainly slow down many companies when it comes to shipping purchases, I doubt it effects Apple, especially during a launch. Historically, my purchases from Apple have arrived earlier than the quoted delivery time.

I hope it will!

Seriously, though, it will be in a leather sleeve in my pocket. It doesn't have to match with anything. Of course my wedding band is platinum so my metallics are going to clash. Oh dear.

I didn't know that someone could effectively "wear" a phone? I didn't get gold because it just isn't my style. But regardless, it would be in my pocket 90% of the time anyways, so i guess it would go with almost anything I wear?

Male here. I don't really worry about what clothes match it, but I am a sucker for cases and bumpers. I'll be using the matted black Avivo Rail + Visor. Periodically I'll probably use it without the transparent tinted visor, so bumper only. The black/white/gold combo always looks good.

Also, I'm a big UCLA fan, so blue/white/gold is a normal combo for me to wear. A blue Magpul Field Case or AL13 Aluminum bumper will probably do it's job there. (I also live in San Diego, so it blends right in with the Charger fans) I wanted a green bumper because it gold/white/green reminds me of the green power ranger, but it can't find and green bumpers I like.

I also like book cases like the Book Book or the Pad and Quill, but I will probably hold off on that.

I called and they waived both my phones bc I told them it wasn't expedite when it's arriving in October and I ordered it at 306... She said they don't actually have expedite shipping and she doesn't know why it was there

Ordered my 16gb Silver 5s this morning at 3am EST from Verizon online. It will "ship by 9/24". The order confirmation screen said that I would receive an e-mail within 24 hours. I'm not the account owner, so I have no way to view the e-mail or see if its been sent. Can anyone confirm that they have received a follow up e-mail from Verizon, and if said e-mail gives any idea as to when I should expect it in the mail? Hoping it ships before the 24th. Would love to have it early next week.
