Can I drag some routine out of the system that proves my statement?
Nope! Don't have the ability, that's why i give you this link.
Can you see air?

Once again, you have provided a link that shows that a connection is made. I do not doubt this. I have never questioned this fact.

The question that I have asked you over and over again is to prove your claim that a list of all installed applications is transmitted to Apple.

Did someone really start a thread complaining about developers charging for their work? Did someone really whine about shelling out a whopping 99 cents for an app?

Yes.

I'll say this: Lots of people complain for example that games are too expensive, and they can't afford them, and they would pay if they could afford them, and they pirate only because they don't have the money. There are about four companies making games close to where I work. You'd think that someone who can't afford computer games and copied them because they honestly can't afford them (school kids, or unemployed), could turn up at one of those companies with a bucket full of water and offer to wash the cars on the car park for free. Seems fair, doesn't it? Copy a £40 game without paying, and do £40 worth of cleaining developers' cars instead. Never has happened.

The App store is not compulsory (yet;)) and I have found it useful for
quite a few things.
I will agree that full price games that have been available for PC/Console for ages seem very expensive tho (eg Bioshock).

While I think the mac app store is great, they should have made some of the more useful apps UNIVERSAL BINARY.. as I am running PowerPC machines in addition to my 2010 mac pro.. A G5 Quad can probably squash most of those tiny apps with no problem since I found out that the G5 can now support 32GB of memory.

First you'd have to figure out how to upgrade your G5 mac to MacOS X 10.6.6 which is required to use the app store.

Or I could use xcode 3.1.2 or 3.2 to disassemble the app and recompile it under universal binary, changing the min os version to 10.5.8.

Can this be done?

If someone posting on MacRumors asks this, then the answer is "No". If my boss asked me, the answer would be "would take me years and it would never get past our legal department".
