Finally, a pitcher this season that actually deserves the perfecto.

That's because an AL pitcher went to the NL.
Just look at Vazquez. He never had big success in the AL, but last year in the NL had a 2.78 or so ERA. Back with the Yankees, he sucks. His best start was against the Mets, a NL team. This just proves the NL sucks. Ok joking aside, congrats to Roy. It's a shame the Yankees would have to had to give up an arm and a leg in term of prospects to get him or they would have had a nasty 1,2,3 pitching lineup in CC, AJ, and Roy. And maybe Roy could keep AJ keep his composure since he was AJ's mentor back in Toronto.

No it's not. That would have destroyed baseball. It's a shame that Yankees fans think they're bigger than the game and that they deserve to have every player on their roster be an all star.
I don't think I am bigger then the game. I don't see the problem with having and spending the money in order to put together the best team possible. It would be on the side of negligence if the Yankees said they didn't have interest in Roy and didn't try to pursue him.
We also have a good farm system as well. The Core 4, Gardner, Cervelli, Hughes, Joba, and Cano are from our farm system.
First off the only way this guy is so famous now is because he Whined liked a lil baby about a non issue about A-rod and than have his grand mommy on tv call A-rod out after his no hitter. to me that just shows the guys a lil punk baby. If you do something like that you blew any way of saying that guy deserve it after the stunt he pulled.

Agreed. Pitching a perfect game is an amazing feat and is deserving of many accolades.
It's just typical Yankee fan cockiness. If anyone besides a Yankees player did it, it's not notable. Halladay could pitch a perfect game every start this season and the only thing that would go through a Yankee's fan's head is how much Steinbrenner should buy him for and that if the Yankees can't have him, then it's not really a notable accomplishment.

I just don't get it. I know Tex is a dangerous hitter, but he is struggling so far. While A-Rod is hitting. I know both the Twins and Indians wanted a DP situation, but just pitch to Tex. Better chances of either a ground out or pop out limiting you to one run then the 4 with one swing....
What A-Rod needs to do is get 9 more HR's in 13 days so he could get his 600th HR when I go to new Yankee Stadium on June 13th.

When I was at the game yesterday, they had an interesting stat on the board. Before yesterdays grand slam, A-Rod was 4 for 4 with two grand slams and 14 RBIs after Teix was intentionally walked to load the bases. Now 5 for 5.
Javy looked good granted its hard to tell if he was good or the O's Just flat out suck but still hopefully this win can help him out I'm thinking we may get a sweep out of the O's this series and boy is Canno on fire if he's not MVP he will be in the finalist I'm sure cause its hard to walk around him with where he is in the linup.

Jim Joyce is a blind, worthless piece of **** and should be fired from the major leagues. Galarraga had that runner out by a mile.
Maybe the Diamondbacks should adopt a skunk as the team mascot for the rest of the year.
With Brandon Webb, Dontrelle Willis, and Dan Haren as the big guns ... getting everyone actually pitching well will be a chore, heck getting Webb back on the mound seems more and more like a longshot for this season.

HOLY CRAP!!!! I caught the 9th inning on the MLB Network... WOW I'm still in shock that wasn't even close!!! I think he panicked in the moment and totally blew the call. That sucks I feel really bad for the pitcher. Thats once in a lifetime right there.
I saw it these Umps have been god awfull since the playoffs this year MLB needs to do something with these guys has there ever been a close perfect game besides today that was blown by the umps?
I hope MLB has some guts and should step in and overturn the call I think.
I know it would never happen, but MLB should review that, go back and award him a perfect game. That call was utter bullcrap. The pitcher can see the replay and know in his head that he really did pitch a perfect game, but it needs to be official.
Even Donald on the opposing team knew he was out. And when he realized the call, he couldn't believe it either. That says something when the opposing team who went up and sent back down 27 times knows that the Tigers pitcher should have had a perfect game.
