I'm glad he ate the floor. :) I was actually hoping it was his ACL, but nope....just his ankle. :(

Gilbert is probably dying to "tweet" to the world that karma really is a bitch.

having torn my ACL, i would never wish that kind of pain on anybody. it was honestly the worst pain of my life. i would rather be dead.

After about 20+ games since the trade, what do you guys think of the Magic? I think the trade did nothing for them, and they arent any better then they were before. They have no backup center for Howard, and they live and die by the 3 point shot. The defense is not very good, and I think they are going to have a very hard time in the playoffs, especially against teams like the Heat and Celtics.

Speaking about my Heat, I am looking forward to this Sundays game in Boston. We are healthy, and seem to finally have some chemistry going on. Boston has our number, thats for sure, but they will be seeing a different Heat team on Sunday. The Heat really need to show the Celtics that they can play with them, just for confidence sake, especially when they meet in the playoffs.

Oh, BTW, LeBron will win his 3rd straight MVP :D

I agree. They had to make a move though. Their offense was stagnant, Vince Carter was doing nothing for them, and Jameer Nelson was their only playmaker. Aside from Hedo Turkoglu though, all the other new players have not lived up to their expectations: J Richardson is the latest Suns player (save for Amar'e) not to be able to put up the same stats without Nash; Gilbert Arenas, the wild card in the trade, hasn't returned to any trace of his old self. These two letdowns, along with the loss of size/depth in Gortat, don't justify the trade. I'm not sure what the trade did for them financially though -- if Arenas' and J Rich's contracts are better than Vince Carter's and Rashard Lewis' contracts, etc. Maybe they'll have more flexibility to do other things this offseason. But who knows -- maybe they need more time together to start playing better. They still have time to turn it around and make heads turn this season. Brandon Bass is coming back soon!

I really want the Celtics to beat the Heat, but Kevin Garnett really makes it difficult for me to root for them.

That fragrant foul call on Wade against KG just now was bs. I hate when I start agreeing with what Jeff Van Gundy has to say.

So much turmoil right now...

I always liked Deron Williams, but I lost some respect for him when I read that he might have been one of the final straws that led to Jerry Sloan's retirement.

...but we don't know why he really quit... unless you Utah fans have an inside track?

The stories about Deron Williams and management forcing Sloan out are false. Even Chris Broussard who originally reported that Sloan asked Deron to be suspended or he would leave, never reported that again and changed his story to Sloan not having energy anymore.

In the press conference Sloan admitted that there was a disagreement at halftime of the Chicago at Utah game the day before but his was nothing major and had nothing to do with his resignation. Sloan was asked again if that played any part and he replied, "No, I've had bigger arguments with just about every person I've ever coached." Does anyone remember Malone and Sloan used to always argue? Sloan also said he didn't have the energy to coach anymore and that he thought he couldn't help the team any longer.

As a Utah fan I am kinda mixed about how I feel, for years I have always said I wanted a new coach but I felt that for the time Sloan was the best option out there. I also never saw Sloan leaving mid-season. I am sad Sloan is gone but I am also happy that the team can now move forward. As for the new coach, Tyrone Corbin, he was probably a good choice but who knows, he has been interviewed for many other coaching jobs but never offered. It was suspected that he would have taken the New Orleans job at the end of this season.

Sooooo go Warriors for beating the Thunder on Sunday! hahah. That probably won't happen again next time.

I'm hoping my sixers pull a trade for andre iguodala... gotta get rid of the dude, hopefully get some sort of up-and-coming big man

Wow.

Lakers weren't worrying me before...but losing to the Cavs definitely raises some eyebrows.

Thank goodness for the All Star break.

These guys are pissing me off.

The Cavs are a bad team, but not nearly as bad as their losing streak would indicate. I could never have fathomed them losing like they did. I'm glad they're starting to win again. They should be a team that wins 30 games in a season, not 15 or whatever pace they're on now.

That was just embarrassing. Makes you wonder where their heads are.

Even so, the talk of them trading for Carmelo Anthony is ridiculous. There's no reason to think he could be integrated smoothly into the Laker offense AND he doesn't even seem to want to play there.
