Let's be honest you guys, the future on L.A. is Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Looks like Bynum has been suspended five games and fined $25,000. He deserves a bigger suspension.

He is a stud but the Clippers don't have any where near the following as the Lakers. Knowing the Clippers, they will trade him away in a few years and he will shine in another city playing for another team. Better yet he goes to the Lakers!!! But I don't know how Koby would feel about that! :D

You're dreaming all right. Howard and Paul will make $34 million combined next year. Bynum and Artest will make $22 million. We'd probably have to give up both Odom AND Blake or Fisher too, and why would Orlando or New Orleans want any of them at those prices?

What are the odds that any of them will take a pay cut to play with Kobe?

I'm beginning to feel if this were to be realistic, the best choice for LA currently is Chris Paul, we need a shooting guard to take the stress off Kobe and let the offense be a little bit more calm

I don't think Orlando will let Howard out so easily...

It would be nice, but realistically you are right, money is tight

I think we need a new roster too. But I don't think any team wants Artest. You'd end up trading Artest and Bynum or Artest and Gasol for one all-star.

Funny, Artest started practicing today at el segundo, lol :D he is really showing commitment and getting ready for the next season...

As much as Artest is fun and cool on such appearances on Jimmy Kimmel, his playing is not the best from what I expected this season

On the other hand, I think Bryan Shaw would be the ideal coach... He has been with the Franchise for over a decade now...

Seems unlikely, unless Sterling sells the team or gets a personality transplant. Star players don't want to play for him. He's also shown over time that he only cares about making money off the team, not contending for a title.

Agreed. That's why they NEVER, EVER have a good team.

Sterling is the only NBA owner who's had a Forbes article written about what a cheap bastard he is

3 years or less until Blake Griffin gets discouraged and wants out

Ok what I said was kinda a joke. I would love to see the Clippers be succesful, because I hate the Lakers, but I don't think it will happen. Griffin will probably be dealt somewhere else because he can't get a good team around him.

So the Heat advance. I am glad that the Lakers and the Celtics are out, I've seen way too much of them in the finals in the recent years.

Heat-Bulls

Who you got?

As a Knicks fan, I kind of hate both franchises. But I would love to see Rose and the Bulls oust the Heat. The Heat look tough to beat, but if the Bulls can get production from Boozer, Noah, and company they have a chance. If Rose is the only offense, they have no shot.

My pick (purely emotional cause I hate Lebron and Wade ;)): Bulls in 7

I like the Bulls this year because they have past Jazz players Kyle Korver and Carlos Boozer, and I don't care about Brewer. However I am not a fan of the Bulls usually because I was at the NBA Finals Game 6 in 1998 when Jordan made that game winning shot.

I think the Heat will win the series but it will be at least six games. Rose can do everything he wants, I agree that if he doesn't get support then don't count the Bulls in at all. He mostly needs help from Boozer, if he'd play like everyone knows he can then they might just win it.

And if Rose, a 40-45% shooter, stops taking >25 shots and passes Boozer (and Deng) the ball more often, he may get a chance to take more than 10-15 shots. ;) Boozer's FG% is around 55-60%. Perhaps he should take the initiative to step up , but as the PG, Rose needs to tell him, "I'm going to look to pass you the ball more often, and I want you to be ready."

It's Rose's team, but the Bulls don't win by large margins when Rose scores 35-40 points in a game. When the Bulls have won by a significant amount, Rose usually only has around 20-25 points and takes around 20 shots.

I agree. Rose and the Bulls are better when they don't look like Iverson and the Sixers.

Wow, the Mavericks look for real and more importantly they look hungry. I was worried the rest would leave the team rusty, but Dirk putting up 48!

I'm sure OKC will come back strong, but it would be awesome to see Dallas play either Chicago or Miami in the finals. :)

That was one of the great single-game performances in recent playoff history by Dirk. If he plays at even 70% of that level and OKC doesn't figure out a way to at least slow him down a lot, then it will be a short series.

A little 06 revenge huh? I'm not sure who they match up with better, but I don't even want to think about that yet. Let's take care of business with the team that's in front of us now as beating OKC is not a given.

I think if we do get a Mavericks vs. Heat final, I see the Mavericks looking good in the early games but in the end, the Heat's "Big Three"--being WAY younger than most of the players on the Mavericks--will just wear out the opposing team.

Did anyone actually think that the Thunder had a chance, I know I didn't. I was surprised they got at least one win.

I thought they had a chance to at least stretch the series to 6 or 7. But after this game, they are done. No way you can give up that lead at home. You just can win a series like that. The good news for them is that they are going to be really good for a while. They're a good young team in a division where the dominant teams are getting older. There is definitely going to be a changing of the guard in the West.
