For me:
Tracking Number = Order No/Delivery No
Additional Order Number = Sales Order No

Syncreon still doesn't seem to load anything up. Obviously not with Syncreon or anyone else for that matter. Says its with TNT but TNT not showing anything nor is UPS.

TNT won't show anything till they actually pick it up, I'm not sure any have left the warehouses yet, they are just in their boxes ready for pickup.

If yours isn't showing up on syncreon's site then I guess Syncreon isn't the only company Apple is using for logistics, so yours will be in someone else's warehouse waiting for TNT to come for pickup.

Not got anything for mine on Syncreon as mines via TNT. Given that TNT generally dont do household delivery anymore I'd assume it'll be local couriers or UPS delivering. TNT generally outsource deliveries (When was the last time you saw a TNT transit van instead of a Small (Luton) Lorry?)

I know that TNT outsource to the Home Delivery Network

Edit: saying that, I've just seen this on wikipedia:

In the United Kingdom, couriers are often part-time workers, delivering packages using their own cars. They collect and deliver packages to any house in a certain postcode area. This way, the TNT company can be sure of delivering to any house in the area.

I'll have to find out who my local TNT person is and slip them a few quid for an early delivery :p

I must admit TNT do normally deliver at my house in Norwich.

I must just have never seen them. I see the big lorries around a lot but never really see them doing deliveries. Anything I've had come from Apple under TNT has arrived in the back of a UPS van :/

Oh please no. I really hope that when mine leaves Syncreon it isn't with TNT then. Round here HDNL have a irritating habit of somehow placing packages several meters behind my locked 7.5 foot tall gate. I can only assume they throw them with considerable force. Hopefully the whole "must get a signature" thing will protect my shiny, but I'd prefer any other company.

TNT have subcontractors who deliver goods for them. These drivers use their own vehicles to carry out deliveries. TNT used to force these drivers to have the TNT livery on their vehicles, but around 5 years ago their stance on this changed. I assume it was something to do with the fact that drivers couldn't really do any work for anyone else with TNT emblazoned across their vehicles, thus technically making them solely employed by TNT.
I hope this explains why you don't see as many TNT vehicles around anymore.

Thanks for the explanation. It explains a lot. Namely the shocking lack of care and rapidly declining quality of service couriers have these days. Turns out it’s because many of their drivers are essentially trumped up white-van-men.

Maybe it's time for a few delivery horror stories so we know what to try and avoid?

I had a package delivered once, while we were out. So the delivery guy put it round the side of the house. But it was raining, so of course he was thoughtful enough to put it out of the rain, in a nice safe, dry place. Where was that? *Inside* the wheely bin of course!

It was the day the bins were collected. Goodbye £50 gift I'd ordered for my wife. That was through amazon, and delivered by the 'home delivery network' people. No issue getting it replaced at least!

Maybe we can padlock our bins? :)

I've also had a few thrown over the back gate, but only clothes which is OK. And I've had a few left under the front doormat, because a doormat cunningly placed on a large box disguises it perfectly from passing thieves.

Hello,

I bought one iPad 32gb and was charged for it. Then I changed my mind, cancelled the 32 and bought a 64gb.

Does anyone know if the money is coming back automatically or I have to do something to get the refund?

Back up now, clearly they are getting a ton of traffic. My iPad hasn't moved from the main depot.

Wow, there's a name I've not seen for a long time - assuming you're the same Gordy who was on Kustom PCs forum?

I still can't track anything with any of the reference numbers on TNT's website, I guess the orders have not been scanned into their system yet.

Minor history lesson of UK parcel companies

Yodel came from a merger of Home Delivery Network Ltd (HDNL) and DHL's busuness and consumer delivery arm.

HDNL came from a merger of two major mail-order catalogue companies, namely Great Universal Stores and Littlewoods. Both had delivery arms. GUS had White Arrow and Littlewoods had Business Express. I understand that Yodel are still owned by that grouping.

I used to work in the computer division of GUS and have kept an eye on the ol' gal.

P.S. My new iPad is also at Hinckley with Syncreon.

Doubt were gonna be able to track til about Wednesday. Have tried everything on TNT and Syncreon, nothing. Don't understand why there is so many numbers though, so confusing.
