Just spoken to Apple, apparently our TNT order numbers should be working and if not you should contact there support team asap, it seems no ones is working at the moment though so im not sure.
Considering the numbers they have provided everyone are 2 digits too long to be a TNT tracking number this is utter rubbish and the person on phone has no clue what they were talking about.

some will slip out, if yours has this early, i will punch a kitten in the face...repeatedly.:p

I just spoke to Apple (UK) and they said that the Apple site is being slow to update statuses at the moment due to the volume of iPads going through the system. She said just go keep checking and it should update. When I asked about TNT ref number, they said just to check the Apple site. Not exactly the answer I was after but whatever.

Mine says "Shipped to London".

I phoned Apple on Friday to ask about my order being delayed ....

I have also had telephone conversations with Apple and frankly, I think they dropped a bo**ock .... I was told that, apparently, the order of priority has been determined strictly by time of order. I then find out today that a colleague of mine in the South ordered 6 hours after me yet his has already shipped (identical colour/spec) and mine is delayed until 21st? This is the UK for **** sake, an item can leave UPS's warehouse in the Midlands at 2am and be in my house in Scotland by 10am!

I rang again today to be told, "we are very sorry and will work to speed up the delivery of your order" - when I asked how my colleague will potentially get his before me despite ordering hours later, the agent avoided my question by offering up more grovelling apologies and a further promise to try to speed up my order :roll eyes:

Does anyone know what time stores will start selling the new iPad on Friday? Is it just normal opening hours?

According to the agent I first spoke with, normal UK opening hours apply, but I just rang the Braehead Store and they told me they don't even know what time they're opening themselves yet!!

Not the most well managed launch ....

very upsetting that must be, if i was you i would phone apple and get an explanation, all delivery dates on the 8th were 16th delivery, they cocked up on yours, and many others.

Anyone noticed that on TNT website it says enter your 8 character shipment number? I only have numbers that are 10 characters long.....

Yeah that confused me.

No idea how we're meant to track it if the codes don't match up :/

Mine is scheduled for Friday delivery though so hope it arrives before the office shuts for the week at lunchtime!!

Apple gave me a consignment number, lady said it won't be released to carriers until the 16th

I am certain everyone who has a delivery date for this friday will get their new iPad so until then kick back grab a coffee and smirk at all the Android tablets out there! :apple:

Just spoke to Apple sales manager. He told me they are not actually shipped yet. Stored in warehouses in the UK and will be shipping Thursday (Some Wednesday Night for those in NI and Northern Scotland)

Indeed, some people on this forum just need to relax, it's coming so stop fretting. It's a relatively large logistical task to get them all shipped and apart from a few exceptions it seems to be working very well, the iPad was only announced 5/6 days ago.

My 64GB 4G Verizon has shipped, with an estimated 03/16 delivery.

My 64GB 4G ATT is still showing "processing"

Both were ordered at the same time, right after preorders became available.

I think this is pretty obvious based on the assumption that all pre-order iPads are in the UK already and they will only be delivered on Friday. The best way to control deliveries is have them stored up until Thursday.

Exactly. Now in the mean time I need to have a look at accessories I think. :D
This first iPad waiting period is exciting!

Hey look it's all v exciting and all that, but it's only Monday. Plenty of time to get those slated for delivery on Friday, delivered by Friday.

- That's what I thought until I came across this page...

http://www.tnt.com/express/en_gb/site/home/support/apple_customers.html

So despite what they says on the tracking page it looks like TNT should be able to track both the 9 & 10 digit numbers supplied by Apple ...eventually. Spoke to a TNT person who seemed clued up on the ipad deliveries, said to phone back fri am to get a better idea of delivery time. Seems to me although Apple say shipped that the deliveries are in limbo until the big day, so I expect those tracking numbers may not work until things get moving again thurs/fri.
