I think this evening all the tracking systems will go live mine is through UPS and none of the tracking numbers work whatsoever but that does not mean it won't be delivered tomorrow.

I hope so, i really do, i must admit..the tracking is normally completely wrong anyway, so it makes no difference. It's how much the product is worth really..i mean, we're not talking a £30 shirt or Video Game here..it's £400..alot of money!

Meant to be excited but overall the whole scenario has been a bit of a mess and left me feeling rather irritated.

But you ordered it for delivery on the 16th.

If I had a parcel that I needed delivering on the 16th then I wouldn't have even needed to get it to the courier for another few hours.

If there is no tracking info by tomorrow morning then start worrying, but TNT don't need to have your iPad yet, and they aren't going to be tracking stuff they haven't got yet.

tracking shows up on uk mail now

I just feel it would have been nice to know the whole journey process of the Ipad..thats all.

Sometimes you dont get tracking till like this time in the morning..so your right..i'll just wait in tomorrow and perhaps not even bother tracking it.

Courier from TNT just stopped by a few minutes ago, now have the new iPad in my possession. :)

There's no point fretting over tracking not working today. It may not even be with the courier who is actually going to deliver it yet. If it's not possible to track it this time tomorrow, then yes. Today, not really.

If that's true can you prove it somehow. Our house was going to be empty for a few hours this morning, but I may have to change some plans.

You guys make me crazy. Just called Apple myself to check my tracking number and the digital lady (is she Scottish?) indeed gave me a new/different TNT tracking number, but this one also doesn't work.

The real woman on the phone then told me that the new number is the correct one but will only show a result on TNT's website from this evening.

Poor service from TNT.

Exactly what do you have to say to the digital lady? Everytime I ask she just thinks I need assistance with my order and sends me to a representative...perhaps it's my Welsh accent :p

Why is that poor service?

Poor service would be if they don't deliver it tomorrow. Not having entered it into the system for shipping yet when it's not even due to be shipped until the early hours of tomorrow doesn't really count.

Sure you do ;)

If you check out Syncreon's wonderful Web 1.0 website I think it's clear that they're a global supply chain business and not the guys who chuck your iPad over the fence or leave it behind the bin.

So "out for delivery" means it's on its way from Leicestershire to a delivery hub near you, belonging to a delivery company like TNT or UKMail, and they will have a next day delivery process in place.

So nothing until tomorrow sadly...

When I used to check my order status on Apple's website it used to say: Shipped on 10 Mar Deliver on March 16. Now it only says Shipped on 10 Mar. But if you click on track it still says Delivers 16 Mar. So I assume its fine. I am in London by the way and TNT is delivering. I still can't track it too.

Yes, I was just going to post that. I think it is the most likely case.

Tracking numbers don't work on all three of the iPads I ordered.....
Suspect I won't get it today now...

Which is a shame as I am now away on business until next week

I'm taking the lack of reply to questions as meaning you're either too busy playing with your new toy, or were lying.

If it was the latter then it's worth remembering that, whilst it may have seemed very funny at the time, I'm sure I'm not the only person who had started considering how they could change their day around in order to be at home today if TNT were actually delivering them today.

Finally I can track my parcel at UPS website.
Btw, the tracking number is given by Apple's automated system. :)
