Unsurprisingly still no tracking for me on TNT.

I'm having mine delivered to my work address. I think I'll be coming in extra extra early tomorrow as the TNT truck was just passing our gate at 8.20 this morning. I'd hate to miss it!

I know from our UPS driver that when they have Apple products on they are under strict instructions to deliver them as early as possible. They are kept in a special 'safe' area at the depot and given priority due to the value. I'm hoping the same is true of TNT.

Hopefully we won't all be stewing to long tomorrow morning.

I hope thats true! We start work at 7:30 but finish at 12:30 on a Friday!! :(
Tomorrow might be my first ever overtime on a Friday!

That didn't happen with my 4S. UPS delivered it at around 16:30.

Exactly, I do not get why so many people are hoping it comes early, unless all jobless.
Dudes, get it delivered to where you work. Problem solved! :)
I expect there will be a good half dozen iPad deliveries to this office tomorrow.

Confirmed here: it's gone from Syncreon to UK Mail - my tracking number now shows the delivery on UK Mail's site (complete with my name, details, etc.). That confirms delivery tomorrow - no early iPads for us.

Exactly what do you have to say to the digital lady? Everytime I ask she just thinks I need assistance with my order and sends me to a representative...perhaps it's my Welsh accent :p

I just said: "I want my tracking number."

(BTW: I think there is no need to be overly polite to her. You can still say thank you in the end of your call.)

Hello, I'm a lurker but thought I'd share this nugget of info with you.

I just rang Apple and got through to a person who said that I would NOT be able to track my delivery with TNT but that Apple assures me that my order will arrive tomorrow, not sure if this is just for me or if this is for all TNT iPad deliveries.

I suppose its nice that I'll know that I get it tomorrow but I've seen other people able to track theirs on this forum and it seems a bit weird that *I* won't be able to.

I think it is safe to say the iPad won't be arriving to me today as although it says shipped - it also states it will give a delivery estimate when it is ready to go....Looks like it will be waiting for me at home when I get back from my trip.......

My TNT tracking isn't working but I don't care yet.. If it doesn't update by say midnight I will be a bit worried...

Some companies let you order like upto 9pm and get it delivered next day... Couriers drive through the night you know ;)

I think we can safely auto-ignore all claims of "It's arrived!" without pics to prove it.

That said, if anyone does receive their's it'd be a great help to post proof and details of their courier to aid others as to whether some are actually arriving today.

I'm with Syncreon, like others it is says out for delivery. Almost certain this'll mean tomorrow, which is fine, but the seed of doubt is annoying and preventing me leaving the house right at this minute. I'm off work till Monday so it's not a problem per se, but I had plans to go out and get a load of boring jobs out of the way so tomorrow is a pure, unabashed geek day. Hmm, what to do.

Also, I think it's a bit premature to be moaning about the whole process. If it said delivery tomorrow initially, and it comes tomorrow, then it's a perfect transaction. It's only our nitpicky OCDness (me included, hence this post!!!) that's giving us the shakes.

Edit: I should also add, I got my iPad 1 a day early, hence my reluctance to leave the house until I hear otherwise.

My iPad is with Syncreon too. I tracked my delivery this morning and it was showing "Out for delivery". But now it shows my iPad is in Birmingham terminal at the moment.

As did I. I also recall that my tracking never actually worked for that as I phoned Apple the day before release asking why it wasn't working. I was told they would get back to me and I think about 30 minutes after the phonecall it showed up :p

That was with UPS though, not TNT or UKMail :(

Hmmm. My Apple TV order just changed to "preparing for shipment" so there could be two new toys coming tomorrow :)

humph. I ordered a ATV with my iPad and due to that it's delayed my iPad until the 30th ffs ! I feel like canceling my whole order and popping down to PC World in the morning to grab an iPad.

BTW all you guys expecting your deliveries today you can forget it. My brother works for TNT in Bradford, customer services. All these notes your seeing about out for collection and out for delivery are basically just tickets getting booked on their systems.

Syncreon are a distro company not a delivery company. TNT, UKMail, UPS have wagons picking up the pallets of iPads today from Syncreon warehouses.

These will then fire them off to their main hubs, pallets splits, labels applied, dumped on more trucks this afternoon. You'll then see "arrived at depot" then "Out for Delivery" in the early hours of Friday morning.

So stop hitting F5 it won't make them come any quicker lol.

I have had to take a day off work tomorrow, if it comes today I will not be pleased.

Some of us work from home or have it delivered to our workplace ;)

John Lewis should have them too - I'd guess they would be the quietest place to nab one without queueing ;)

The only difference for me was that the tracking number did work and said delivery on the Thursday before launch day. Can't remember whether it was UPS or TNT though.
