The New iPad Pre-Order Status Thread (USA) - All Models

Apple must have a butt load of iPad 3 units as even this morning it still shows they will be delivered on the 16 th.

Overall the ordering process went way better this go around co pared to other times. Cudos to Apple.

Yupp. They really prepared themselves this year. Production must have commenced all the way back in December/January. :)
 
I pre-ordered around 5 am and received a confirmation email 15 minutes later. Still expected to arrive on March 16! Now to sell my older iPad to a family member! I am excited about the retina screen and the addition of iPhoto. Also, I ordered a White 32 GB Wi-Fi.

EDIT: I ended up canceling my order. It sucks, but I cannot buy another electrical device right now. damn!!

EDIT 2: I decided that I will sell the iPad Classic to fund a White 32 GB 4G Verizon model. Should be cool!

Looks like the White, 4G, 16GB & 64GB AT&T were the first to go! Now says: "Ships by: March 19"!
 
I think they caught a few people off guard with the preorder starting right after the demo. I think they threw the obsesseed Mac users a bone and let us order before all of the hype.
 
It's great they have a big supply of them and are releasing it in so many countries at once.

Buying a Apple product should be a good experience,
this will negate the need to stand in line for hours.

With it widely available should not be as much scalping as well?
 
I ordered a 64gb black , 4g w/ verizon last night for my wife and another one this morning in white. Both say delivery on the 16th.
 
Both 16 and 64 in white/AT&T have slipped to the 19th
Load times seem to be pretty reasonable too
 
Ordered mine (basic black 16GB wifi) at 5pm ET yesterday and shows it will deliver on the 16th. Put up my iPad 2 16gb wifi last night on eBay and it already sold for $400 on eBay.. Woo hoo ready for the new iPad!;):D:apple:
 
Got three orders in for a total of five black 64GB AT&T (corporate account). All are listed in the account as "Processing Items", but the confirmation for the middle order hasn't arrived yet. But as I recall, last year the order confirmation email for my (personal) iPad 2 came the day after it shipped (and the shipping email came two days after the device arrived). So hopefully it's all good.
 
Awesome, got my shipping notification from UPS. Early estimate from EPZ, China is the 16th. Was hoping it would arrive ahead of schedule, guess it can still happen once it hits the states =D

*edit* Ordered around 4PM EST yesterday (3/7/12) 64gb black wifi.

I was surprised as well to see that, as of early this am, all models were still available to be delivered on March 16th.

Now we start to see the shipping times fall! I think this increases my chances of possibly making some money on mine... or keeping it if I can't resist.
 
Mine has shipped :) It says it will be delivered by end of day on the 16th. White wifi 16gb with laser engraving.

Keep us posted, hope they arrive early, I ordered at 3:45 pm EST, mine says Processing items. Black 32GB AT&T.
 
I got the order acknowledgement mail from apple. Is that the confirmation mail you guys are talkin about ?

yes ... you get 1st email with subject 'Thank you for your order'
and then 2nd email 'your item shipped'

there is a delay in the 1st email ... some people didn't get that email for 10+ hours after placing order
 
I ordered mine at 3:40 PST yesterday and I still haven't received a confirmation email. I'm getting worried.. is this normal? :confused:

hummm ... see if you got charged on your CC , apple puts $1 change for authorization on CC right when you place the order.
 
ordered at 8pm last night. 16 gig wifi, no confirmation email.

CC charged the $540
order says processing.


I'm not sweating it.

Not true for me. I ordered and received my conformation but there was no charge on my cc. I think it depends on the card you use. I use Amex and have never been charged even a $1 before the item ships.
