makes sense to me that any engraved ipads would ship from china, outside the batches they shipped to the US prior to the launch as they'd have to be engraved. so probably why a lot of engraved ones have shipped to get them into the country, but yeah i'm sure apple won't allow any early deliveries..16th is the the 16th and Apple > Fedex+UPS+USPS+Royal Mail+ the rest of the world.

I'm in Boston. My 32gb Black wifi w/engraving has shipped, and I have tracking #. It's currently touring Chengdu, China. UPS is saying it'll arrive on 3/16 "By End of Day".

The safe bet will be that the iPads will arrive on 16th.

However, there are several instances of iPhones arriving a day early.

A day early is NOT impossible, but NEVER something to expect.

To be safe, I expect some plane delay and that I won't get it until the 19th. ha.

does it say where it's coming from??? got my shipping notice super early this morning and it says the 16th via UPS but keeping my fingers crossed that it comes on the 13th cause we are going out of town on the 14th and I so want it to play with on the long road trip.

I'm in NC and my 16gb Wifi shipped via FedEx this AM from Pennsylvania, shows standard overnight with guaranteed delivery by 3PM on the 16th, would guess it will be before that...

When they released the VZW iPhone 4, I think I got it like 2-3 days early. Would have had sooner but the UPS hub by me was not open on weekends.

I wouldn't be surprised if both FedEx and UPS ship early, to avoid a *disaster* on 3/16. I do hope they provide advance notice. 3/15 is actually a bad day for me (3/16 is better).

Your order acknowledgement email from Apple will tell you for certain whether it will deliver on the 16th or not.

If you ordered this morning, then probably not. People who are ordering the new iPad now are seeing "ships by March 19th" so it's no longer guaranteed to arrive by the 16th.

It was shipped by ups worldwide express. It says delivery 3/16 by end of day.Can't wait!

Has anybody that picked in-store pick-up had their card charged yet? Called 1-800-MYAPPLE to verify my order and the rep said everything looked good and my iPad will be at the store March 16th but I haven't been charged yet. Just curious when that charge may go through.
