Come Fall should there be no Mini and no modular MacPro in view for maybe another 8 - 12 months ... I wonder where our Brethren will go ... no really, by Xmas I think everyone will finally get it ... post 11,500 maybe. By then a $900 - $1300 NUC will at least make me feel like I'm doing something to maintain respect. I hate more than anything the arrogance of their silence ... makes me just say No!

Even if there were a new Mini then we'd be sorry disappointed with the specs that we wouldn't want to buy such a neutered beast. The alternates are just too rich. How do we deal with the lack of Mac OS though?

Wow. 3 days without a reply in this thread. And we are so close to 10,000. I wish someone at Apple would see this and realize that there is a demand for a computer with no integrated display! Sigh...

Really nothing to say anymore. Excite us Apple, give us some info. Break the silence.

By dealing with it. At this point, it's a parasitic relationship, it's time to AT LEAST consider moving on, if you have not already.

I think it was about a year ago on this thread I started plotting my escape from waiting on the new Mac Mini and on to the adventure of building my hack.

This morning my hack was in Windows 10 mode with my cpu handbrake of a blue ray for my Roku, mining crypto currency with my gpu and watching the world go by on twitter.

And still waiting for the new Mac Mini that is almost certainly coming. LOL "COVFEFE"

If the new mac mini (almost certainly coming) has the same parts as the 13" MacBook Pro, how much should it cost? The mini won't have a screen, a keyboard, a trackpad, or a battery, but it will have more ports. What would be a fair price?

I would hope it would have at least 8 Gb of ram and more than two USB-C ports...

Nah…. if power is what I was after, a Mac Mini is not what I would buy. A modestly specced Mac Mini running MacOS and associated apps is fine for me….. and it is almost certainly coming. Not really interested in an alternative OS….. Having to occasionally use Windows 10 at work convinces me of that.

Well, I am happy with the 2014 MM I bought a few months ago. Hope there is a new mini future.
[doublepost=1498331342][/doublepost]Good weekend for the 10 k barrier bust.
